"O’Shea Electric has done many projects for me over the years, and provides A+ service each time. Most recently, they rewired a bunch of different breakers from my panel, so that the power from each breaker was distributed appropriately. This enabled them to run a new dedicated line for my pool pump that worked flawlessly for 24 hours a day for the whole summer. They are the best in the business, no doubt"

"We loved going with express essential services. The receptionist was very nice and was up front and honest about what there policies were. She gave me a day and time for an evaluation (they had a technician there exactly when she said). Our technician was great he quickly diagnosed our problem and got in touch with the company. Before he had even left the receptionist was calling me back with the price to fix it and a few available dates. We got a date booked to do the work I sent the deposit and within a week they were back fixing our chiller. It took a few hours and our unit was back working like new. Id highly recommend."

"The team effort was amazing to watch.  Along with the owner, the guys (Anthony and Joey) were impressive with their knowlege as well as answering my questions.  They were eager to answer and still kept busy with their tasks.  It has been a long time since I witnessed employees who not only cared, but worked extremely well together.  Newtown heating and A/C has a lot to be proud to perform in such a professional envoronment.  They are super.

Parts were made on site or in their nearby shop to custom fit the heat exchanger to my current duct work.  I am very happy with the state-of-the-art equipment installed.  I feel very comfortable with my new system and highly recommed contacting them.

The system has been working perfectly.  On 2/10/2014 I called about a message code and service was prompt.  The problem was with my internet service unable to download some new software as a result of the power outages from the recent snow/ice storm.

I am very interested in some additional work for a battery backup for my sump pump.  I am requesting additional information about a full home generator.

Also, they cleaned up after the installation and removed all of the old equipment.

Generator Install questions, answered by experts

Setting up utilities on a vacant property usually takes at least a few months, or between 6 weeks to 16 weeks. This process requires working with the local planning and zoning department, hiring a building contractor or engineer to design the utility layout, securing permits, laying the lines, and connecting the utilities.

While the rating will tell you how many watts the refrigerator needs at the peak of its cycle, it requires additional wattage to start. At the bare minimum, you’ll need a 1,500-watt generator to get the fridge up and running after a blackout. A 2,000-watt generator should be sufficient for most home refrigerators.

A home that is 2,500 square feet will likely need a 20kW to 25kW generator. Consult your local generator installer to confirm the generator size needed to power your home before purchasing a new one. Be sure to consider how much power your necessary devices need to run.

Yes, in some locations, it is required by the National Electric Code (NEC) to have a transfer switch installed for electrical emergencies. In addition to following electrical code, generator transfer switches ensure your home is fully protected during a power outage. By switching the power from the main breaker to the generator breaker, you can seamlessly operate your HVAC, lights, appliances, devices, and more during an emergency.

Yes, in most municipalities, you will need a permit to install a permanent home generator, including emergency backup, partial-home, and whole-home models. Because these installations involve significant alterations to your home's electrical system and produce exhaust fumes, local governments often require a permit or inspection for safety purposes. A generator permit typically costs between $50 and $250, depending on your location. Your electrician or certified installer can usually handle the permitting process for you, but you will be responsible for the cost. It's a good practice to confirm with your installer that they will pull all necessary permits before work begins.
