"My parents have an in-ground pool and over the years new homes were built behind their house. The new houses changed how the rain runoff comes through their backyard. It actually caused mud to pour into the pool TWICE and costs $3000 each time to empty,clean,and refill the pool. I called multiple landscape/drainage pros for estimates and either they quoted a ridiculously high price or never called back. I found Tom on Angi and he came and looked right away. His quote was very reasonable and he didn’t seem too worried about it. He and his team showed up when they said they would and knocked the project out in 2 days! ( I work construction and thought it would be at least double the time.) They excavated the dirt around the edge of the pool and added a deep layer of river rock plus created a vertical paver wall to ensure the water wouldn’t get in the pool. They also used the removed dirt to create a berm in the backyard to further redirect water. They covered the berm in wildflower seed and straw. Overall, everybody is ecstatic with how they fixed our problem. 100% professional quality. His guys worked non stop and they cleaned up after the job was done. I highly recommend using Tom and his team."

"Bad Experience. Bait and Switched us. Told us the no more than cost of our removal verbally and then said he needed $4k to do the design with us and get final firm contract after that. I told him I was skeptical giving him $4k and then have him come back with contract stating it would cost a big percent more. He assured me “he is not that kind of guy”. Then after the design and a smaller scope he wanted to charge us 30% more. Took our money and we now have to start over with a new contractor."

I have had three major ($20,000 - $100,000) projects done to my house by Toby since 2017 including a large scale exterior stucco replacement, family room remodel (caused by a roof leak that Toby repaired), and kitchen remodel. The kitchen remodel is the most recent (fall 2019) and subject of this review. In my opinion Toby’s strengths include a deep understanding of home construction from over a decade of home construction, repair and remodeling. He is a highly capable business man able to plan, schedule, supervise and, on occasion, perform, home projects. His greatest strength is the quality of the work done under his supervision. He only hires highly skilled workmen/women and provides them with clear instructions and supervision.
