"Mark is a true professional. He understands customer service in a way most contractors don't. He's diligent and knowledgeable,a subject matter expert who is very competent. Mark's quality standards are high, as such, you will not be disappointed in the service he provides. He did an excellent job addressing a bird nesting problem. "We've been using them for several years. He is very polite. He made arrangements ahead of time as to the day and timeframe. It was good. We've been married for 13 years and my husband was using them before we got married. He is very pleased with them. We haven't had any problems with pests."

"We purchased the big deal coupon for this service and it was a 50% off for a year round of pest control package.  They were good.  They told us that in a couple of weeks if we still see ants, they will come back and do it again.  Their price was very reasonable, especially when we called around locals, they were talking $500.  So it was definitely a cost saving and that’s why we went with them.  They were friendly, courteous and efficient.  They were on time and we were happy with the service."

"They were helpful on the phone when I questioned them about raccoon removal in general.  I asked a lot of questions because of the problem with the first company I employed.  The tech went into the attic and over to the place where the animal was living.  He was able to assure me that there was no poo, babies or other problems to clean up.  They seemed fully prepared to do this work if necessary.  The tech built an attractive "box" reinforcement of the area of soffit where the animal had pushed in.  My impression was that he had a lot of experience with doing it.  The raccoon has not ripped the repair apart--I do not know if the raccoon came back to try.  The repair appears to be sufficient to prevent that.  A raccoon is strong and has clever hands.   The tech also fixed an area of soffit that had been pushed up a little.  He stayed on the roof and worked on this until he succeeded.  (A roofing company I hired to do this, as part of other work, gave up after not trying too hard--of course they charged me anyhow. )  I wish I had called this company initially.  I have full confidence that they would handle any other wildlife problem I may have.

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Set live traps or install a one-way door to evict squirrels, rodents, and other animals from your attic. Once they’re out, seal any entry points to prevent the animals from returning. If you’re dealing with an infestation, call a pro.

Methods include exclusion devices, netting, and sealing entry points. Professionals ensure compliance with local wildlife regulations.

Birds are often averse to certain strong scents. For instance, the odor of predator urine, such as that from foxes or hawks, can deter them. Similarly, birds may dislike the pungent aromas of garlic, onions, and chili peppers. Essential oils like peppermint, eucalyptus, and citrus can also be effective in keeping birds away. However, it's important to note that individual bird species might react differently to these scents, so it might require some experimentation to find the most effective repellent for your specific situation.

Some of the plants listed above, like daffodils, are poisonous to many animals if eaten. But wild animals instinctively avoid them, for the most part. Household pets don’t always have the same survival instinct, which is why it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with common plants that pose a danger to cats and dogs.

Identifying the specific animal running on your roof at night can be challenging without direct observation. Common nocturnal roof visitors include raccoons, squirrels, opossums, and rats. Raccoons are bigger and can create heavy thumping sounds. Squirrels are agile and may produce rapid scurrying noises. Opossums tend to move stealthily with less noise. Rats can make scratching or gnawing sounds. To determine the culprit, look for signs like footprints, droppings, or damaged areas near the roof. For accurate identification, consult a pest control professional or set up wildlife cameras near potential entry points.
