"Dave and his crew painted the entire interior of our new home---and I mean all of it. Almost every room was a different color from the next. When we weren't happy with one of the colors we chose, he didn't hesitate to paint over it with a color that we liked. He also completely transformed our kitchen by painting the cabinets white. It was a huge job, and I can't tell you what a relief it was to work with Dave---he is *extremely easy-going* and professional, and even though I had never hired anyone for a job like this (first-time home buyer), I just had a gut feeling from the beginning that I could rest assured the job would be done, and done well. I was right! I've been anxious about plenty with this house, but not the painting job. Dave transformed our drab and beat-up interior into the cheerful, sunny home I had envisioned. It looks wonderful and I feel a true sense of completion. Thank you so much, Dave, for helping us turn our house into our first home! And for being so easy to work with---it helped make an anxious time so much more pleasant."

"First of all, the men are very friendly and put up with my two dogs, which is gold star from me to begin with.  More importantly, they showed up the exact time they said they would and worked to completion on the project.  Our dining room had wall paper, which they removed, touched up the plaster in the dining room, primed the walls, and painted them beautifully.  The living room is 16ft. x 23ft, with 17ft. ceilings, they painted the room and it looks amazing.  The the house was built in 1929 and they repaired the plaster in the living room prior to its painting.  Lastly, they painted the ceiling of our foyer and hallway , up the stairs and onto the 2nd floor and the crown molding.  it all looks great, and I can't say enough as far as recommending them, they are just great.  We will definitely use them again...and again...and again!

"Rich assesses what needs done, explains exactly what he would recommend to get the best result and then prices the job. He shows up when he tells you the job will start, stays on the job until it is completed, cleans up so that you don't know he was there and the bill is exactly as he quotes for the work performed. His painters and him are polite and neat. I will definitely call him again for all my painting and dry wall needs . i am recommending him to anybody that needs work done."

"They did real good. They took a lot of pride in their work. They did stuff beyond what I thought they were going to do. They sealed everything. They did two coats of paint and I know they did it throughout every room and hallway. That was something I did not expect. They said they were going to do it and so, they did it."

"John contacted us right away and scheduled a time to look at our job. He was informed of the short time required to complete our project and after discussing a number of options with us, was able to satisfactorly schedule our job at a very competitve price. John and his crew were on the job as agreed and completed the project as agreed around an amazing amount of bad weather, with fantastic results. Five Stars and we will use him for additional properties we own in the near future."

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

Painting over wallpaper is an efficient way to cover it if it’s in decent shape. Before painting over wallpaper, make sure the surface is clean and smooth. You may have to remove minor problem areas, such as lifted seams or small peels, with a sheetrock knife or putty knife. Add a latex- or oil-based primer to keep moisture at bay before painting. You’ll likely need two coats of paint to cover the area.

Yes, you can put wallpaper in a bathroom, but whether it's a good idea depends on several factors. Because bathrooms are high-humidity areas, it's crucial to choose a water-resistant wallpaper, such as one made of vinyl. Proper wall preparation is also critical to ensure the paper adheres well, even after many steamy showers. The wallpaper's placement also affects its longevity; it will hold up better on an accent wall or away from direct water contact, rather than immediately next to a shower. A well-ventilated bathroom will yield the best results.

Common mistakes when finishing basement walls include neglecting proper insulation, insufficient moisture management, and poor ventilation. Not addressing these issues can lead to mold growth, water damage, and discomfort. Additionally, inadequate planning, improper framing, and rushing the project can result in subpar outcomes.

It's essential to follow best practices, seek professional guidance if needed, and prioritize thoroughness and attention to detail.

There can be too much of a good thing when it comes to accent walls, so avoid creating one in every room in your house. Some rooms, like bathrooms and kitchens, don’t naturally lend themselves to accent walls, so it’s best to skip them there. Of course, your home should reflect your own sense of style, so if accent walls in multiple rooms appeal to you, there’s no hard-and-fast rule forbidding it.

Accent walls have been a popular decor choice over the past two decades, and they don’t seem to be going out of style any time soon. They’re a quick and easy way to change the mood of the room without committing to painting every wall, and many homeowners like the visual interest they add to a room.
