American Insulation Services, LLC is a family owned and operated. We do NOT use sub-contractors. We offer incredible financing options. We also have monthly special offers.
"I would caution anyone who is considering this company to avoid using them. Bob promised work, had excuse after excuse as to why he couldn't complete the work, and did a half-a$$ job. I had to hire another company to come clean up after them. The job was to remove cellulous and spray foam in an open attic. Contract was signed in November, 2022 and he did not show up until January, 2023. He started removing the cellulous and did not finish. Two weeks later when I said I had cleaners coming to clean up after their mess, he finally returned and did a horrible job with spraying. Some parts of the attic weren't even touched, and there was cellulous all over the attic. When I texted him to return and finish, he promised to do so. It is now August and he never showed, with a litany of excuses. I hired another company to clean up and finalize the foam insulation. They said they have never seen a job done so poorly. Do not use American Insulation Services!"

Energy Eagles is an independent home energy evaluator that works directly with the homeowner to address rising utility bills, comfort issues within the home and health and safety concerns. Jerry Huelsenbeck, owner and primary consultant, is a nationally certified auditor and has advanced certification in use of thermal imaging. We utilize the latest diagnostic tools and techniques to uncover the source of energy usage within your home and recommend potential remedies. Energy Eagles serves as an independent advisor to our clients and we are not affiliated with the service providers who may be needed for some of the installation work that we recommend. Our focus is on you and your home. We develop a custom prioritized list of projects that give you, the homeowner, the best payback for your investment. Most auditors have a primary business such as insulation, furnace installation, windows, etc. Their primary solution will always include their specialty and minimize the other potential savings areas. With an independent advisor, you’ll have an objective plan that serves you best for both energy savings and addressing comfort issues within your home. Many of our recommendations can be implemented by the homeowner if they are inclined. And we can direct you to local professionals if you need them. To assist with covering the costs of the remedies, we are very familiar with incentives from the major utilities, various agencies and even financial institutions that have preferred rates for energy efficiency projects. Our on-site visits are usually four hours and we prefer to have the homeowner directly involved in the beginning and end of the visit. Very often the homeowners become so engaged in the diagnostic process that they learn a tremendous amount about their own home with the assistance and guidance of our expertise. Our base offering includes a detailed report of our findings and recommendations. And we include a comparison of how your home rates against a regional energy use scale. We do provide more advanced services for deeper diagnostics that you may need to address those tougher problems. And we can develop detailed economic comparisons using the latest PC modeling software to assist you in evaluating what projects will have the greatest dollar impact. Our primary deliverable is assisting you, with our expertise and tools, in developing a thoughtful prioritized plan that you can implement over time to address your most pressing home energy and comfort needs.

To find a reputable energy auditor, find a local company that offers energy audit services. Research the company’s reviews, methods, and certifications to find a reliable professional in your area. The most reputable energy audit companies are HEP-certified by the Building Performance Institute (BPI). Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local energy auditor guidelines to ensure you’re hiring a certified professional.
The difference between an energy auditor and a home inspector is primarily in the purpose of the inspection. The energy auditor conducts tests in your home to determine the energy efficiency levels in areas like windows, insulation, and doorways. The auditor then makes recommendations for ways to improve a home’s energy efficiency.
A home inspector examines various structures of your home to determine that everything is up to code and gauge the condition of features like the roof, foundation, HVAC, and electrical. The home inspector reports on the overall home and makes repair recommendations.
Typically, a local home energy auditor is responsible for performing energy audits. A home energy auditor will conduct one of three energy audits designed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) to determine the energy efficiency of your home. The auditor often provides analysis that can help guide changes and improvements to your home for better energy efficiency, giving recommendations as necessary.
The three levels of home energy audits include:
Level 1: Review of your energy bills and home for signs of energy inefficiency and areas for improvement. The average cost range is $0.08 to $0.12 per square foot.
Level 2: A level 2 ASHRAE energy audit costs $0.12 and $0.35 per square foot. In-depth analysis of your energy usage and provides a report of cost-saving changes.
Level 3: Comprehensive analysis and detailed recommendations for ways to improve your home’s energy efficiency. A level 3 audit costs about $0.36 to $0.50 per square foot.
