"Jim and his crew are incredible. I requested a quote for a new paved driveway and Jim called me himself to explain the scope of work and pricing. He is very accommodating, responsive, transparent and it’s clear that he is very proud of the work they do. They are very skilled and experience and completed my project with ease. They pitched the driveway perfectly to direct all water away from my house. They got me on the schedule extremely quickly, showed up on time, and were very knowledgeable and professional. They treated my driveway as if it were their own and wanted everything to be perfect. It is clear that they are the best at what they do and I would recommend them to anyone looking for these services."

"Very impressive. Owner personally contacted me to discuss the specs for the work and offered pricing options. Job foreman gave excellent service and asked for feedback in real time to ensure job was to my satisfaction. Price was fair for work and quality. Overall, a very pleasant experience and they'll win more work from me."

Paving Services questions, answered by experts

Asphalt dries and cures best between 50 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. This range allows moisture to evaporate quickly without causing the asphalt to cool too fast, which can negatively affect the drying process. However, keep in mind that other weather conditions can also affect curing and drying times, such as precipitation and humidity.

The material that’s best for your private road depends on your property, the climate in your area, and your personal preferences. Gravel is an affordable option, but some homeowners don’t like how it looks. It can be a pain to remove snow from, and it requires more ongoing maintenance than asphalt or concrete. However, while these other options require less maintenance and make snow removal a breeze, they’re more expensive and will need repairs from time to time. Ultimately, you’ll have to choose the road material that suits you and your property best.

An example of permeable paving is a set of cinder blocks or natural stone pavers with room inside for natural materials, such as gravel, sand, or grass. You can also design these pavers with brick or plastic tiles.

In addition to these pavers, permeable pavement can be obtained by using a highly porous material, such as pervious concrete or pervious asphalt.

You should place a layer of thick landscaping fabric directly over the concrete slab and then a thin layer of leveling sand over that to protect the pavers from moisture. For border pavers, you should plan on locking them in place with polyurethane adhesive. This will prevent them from shifting under foot traffic.

Generally speaking, tiles are for indoor use, while pavers are for outdoor use. The main difference between travertine tiles and pavers is their thickness. Tiles are around 1/2 inch thick, and pavers are 1 1/4 inches to 2 inches thick.

Pavers are more rugged and can handle different weather. The extra thickness on pavers also makes them ideal for high-traffic areas.
