A few important facts that make Mellon Certified Restoration a leader in our field and the partner of choice for leading property managers, owners, developers, business owners, insurance agents & carriers and independent adjusters: • 30 years of service - Mellon Certified Restoration is privately owned & operated and has a long, successful business history. When disaster strikes, our certified training, experience, and manpower combine to get your job done on time and on budget. • 24 / 7 / 365 - Emergency services, cleaning, restoration and repair of commercial & residential property / contents damaged by fire, water, wind, smoke, mold, vandalism and other perils. We also handle bio-hazard scenarios. • Seven (7) Branch locations - Quickly and efficiently serving PA, DE & NJ (see attached). • State of the art equipment - Including thermal cameras that pinpoint the source of water thereby reducing demolition, vortex extraction equipment which may eliminate the need to remove carpeting / padding and a mobile, large volume desiccant that significantly reduces the time required to dry large structures. We are 30 years old…our methods are not! • Fully insured - Including pollution / mold coverage which is critical in today’s marketplace. • Excellent client communication & customer satisfaction - Dedicated Customer Care Department to further ensure that property owners and managers receive the expected attention and quality workmanship. In a perfect world, you would never require our services and we are the last service that you would want to need…but when disaster strikes, large or small …we are the first you should call.

"Stay away! Do not hire this company!! Fraudulent charges. Lies. Manipulators. Everything was covered by insurance but they are sending me bills for an additional $$$$ and claiming it’s computer error they can’t fix. So called project manager never came out to check on workers. Flooring salesman came out while workers there but he never went in to check on their work. He stayed outside and chatted then left. Painters painted the powder room that was not supposed to be painted and now there is yellow oily substance running down the wall from the paint they used. Worst experience ever."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

While there are many benefits to installing bamboo flooring, there are also a few disadvantages to consider before choosing this type of flooring. Bamboo has fewer color options than wood, laminate, or vinyl flooring, and it can be more vulnerable to moisture.

You can mop bamboo floors, but exercise caution to protect the material from excess moisture, which can seep into the bamboo, causing it to warp and well. Moisten a microfiber mop and wring it out until it’s just damp, or use a pH-neutral cleaner, as this will prevent damage to the bamboo fibers. Avoid harsh chemicals, like traditional floor cleaners. After cleaning, wipe the floor dry.

Vinyl and linoleum are the most affordable flooring for a mobile home. The material costs $3 to $7 per square foot—or half as much as hardwood and slightly less than laminate.

Overall, vinyl isn’t as durable as linoleum, but it performs best in areas with high levels of moisture. Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) or luxury flooring tile (LVT) has added durability with just a slightly higher price tag.

Like any other type of flooring, you will need to keep up with regular maintenance on your epoxy floors to keep them in the best shape possible; however, it is not like hardwood floors inside a house, which require special care and more consistent maintenance.

Just make sure you use the right cleaning tools and solutions. Avoid using harsh tools like scrub brushes or hard-bristled brooms. You should also skip cleaners that are highly acidic, including white vinegar.

Transition strips are often called seam binders as they bridge the gap between two floor types. They are common between carpeting and hardwood or wood and tile. Transition strips prevent trips and falls and make the transition from each room appear seamless. They are also often used to even out height differences between floors.
