"I hired SVA Plumbing to replace an old and broken steam-based heating system in my house that had just one heating zone, with a new water-based system with four heating zones (1 zone in the basement, 1 on the first floor and 2 on the second floor). SVA Plumbing installed brand-new PVC pipes, new cast-iron radiators (including replacing an old baseboard radiator in the basement) and a new boiler, including all of the associated electrical wiring and the connection of thermostats. Overall, they did an outstanding job. They are very highly skilled, very dedicated, and showed an exceptional level of professionalism. They finished the work on-time and within their quoted budget, and worked very efficiently, coming up with creative solutions and designs, which resulted in having to do minimal damage to the walls. They used materials and equipment of very high quality, all of which they provided. They were fully dedicated to my project from start to finish, and were able to replace my broken heating system in the middle of the winter, in a minimally invasive manner, considering me and my family did not have to move out of the house for the duration of the project. Even after the completion of the project, they were always available for any follow-up questions. They not only completed the main project on-time, but they also completed a couple of smaller projects for me while they were at my house, e.g. replaced a poorly designed rubber garden hose with a much more durable and weather-resistant PVC-based pipe, as well as removed some old pipes that were no longer being used. "We asked our realtor for a “pit bull” inspector and she recommended this company. We were present with the inspector and asked a lot of questions and listened intently to his concerns and observations. We left feeling like we had some issues but nothing major. Well, after settlement it became clear that the inspector missed a huge carpenter ant infestation that damaged the entire back of the house including walls and beams. He missed leaking windows and pipes that had cause mold and mildew damage in two separate areas of the house. He missed several areas of roof damage and a decaying rotting exterior chime to structure. When I pointed to the ceiling and said is that brown spot a leak he said no, that’s just a missed paint spot! We made settlement after what we thought was a good inspection report. It turns out that we had to spend tens of thousands of dollars on critical repairs that the inspector missed or assured us were minor. The roof and window leaks were severe. The carpenter ant infestation was critical. Needless to say we were very angry and extremely disappointed that these things got missed and we got misled. We would not recommend this inspector to others."
