"Their team was very professional and fast. We needed all our our lentels replaced and much of our chimney re-pointed and they had everything done in 3 days. There were no complications or mistakes made and we are very please with the work we had done. My husband and I would hire them again for any future needs, but are satisfied that thankfully we probably will not need to hire them in the near future because of the sound and stable work they completed on our home."

"The job was to be done in two days, and the three men who arrived in the morning finished the job in one day. The removal of the one chimney included the replacement of "felt" and new shingles close to the color of existing shingles on the roof. The other chimney is in use because it is needed for the hot water tank. A new 35ft liner was installed. The mortar joints were grinded out, repointed and waterproofed. A new crownsaver/seal and cap was installed on the chimney. The chimney to the hot water tank was an ongoing problem with moisture on the walls in one room for years and the house is close to 85 years old. They did an outstanding job and cleaned up the bricks, etc from the chimney that was removed."

"These guys know what they are doing. Jim Tegge is an excellent guy to work with. He went out of his way to be sure I was satisfied with everything. He checked regularly on the work being performed. If something was not right, he requested that it be redone. He knew I was unhappy with the wood used for the door jam between the kitchen and sunroom, so he had it replaced. He is a very good source for contacts, whether it be for suppliers of material or for other work to be done. I did not plan to have my chimney repaired, but when they noticed moisture in the upstairs wall, Jim gave me a very good source for a chimney repairman. These workers came promptly and cleaned up afterwards as best they could. This job took approximately 8 weeks. The wait for installation of wood flooring by a third party caused some delay."

"I reached out on a local app for assistance in repairing storm damage from the night before. Matt responded promptly, came to my house to assess the issue, secured the items needed to make the repair, and returned to complete the work…all within four hours. I consider him quite a find and I look forward to using his services again in the future for some needed masonry repairs. I highly recommend him!"

"I called Ab Meyers on Thursday about installing a grip bar in my parent's powder room for my handicapped father. I explained that my father's PT wanted it ASAP. Ab called his foreman immediately and he scheduled the intallation the next morning.  My son purchased the grab bar so it was available to them. The foreman arrived on time Friday morning and installed it securely. He was very pleasant and helpful. He even fixed the sink that was separating from the wall. My parents were very pleased with the service and the senior citizen discount. We would call them back for any other hanyman chores we need done.

"After hearing scratching noises, I found out that I had raccoons hanging out on my third floor roof and living in chimney. I checked Angie's List and called Critter Control. My first point of contact was with Jessica, who listened to my problem, then clearly explained their process and the possible costs involved. She emailed a contract to me immediately, and after providing them with some information, Steve and Bryan came out right away to assess the situation and make recommendations, which I accepted. They came by the house everyday to monitor the situation, and after the critters were gone, they installed 2 new stainless steel chimney caps, along with a dryer vent. I am so relieved that they could resolve my unfortunate situation in a professional and timely manner."

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

Yes, they can assess the size, kitchen layout, and ventilation requirements to make recommendations.

A higher CFM will make the price of your range hood more expensive. It can be challenging to speculate how much the CFM rating affects price, but ductless range hoods—that don’t need as high of a CFM as ducted range hoods—are less expensive than their alternative. On average, ductless hoods cost between $100 and $300, while ducted hoods can cost as much as $1,000.

Regular cleaning of filters and checking ducting ensures effective operation.

Smooth galvanized metal ducting is best and safest for venting a hood range. It’s best to avoid flexible and corrugated types of ducting, as these options don’t provide ample airflow and may not meet local code. For specific advice on which type of duct might be best for your kitchen, reach out to a range hood installation professional.

Yes, professionals can often retrofit models with minimal disruption.
