"We had a leak in our garage due to roof damage caused by an old satellite (that Direct TV refused to remove years ago after we cancelled service). A large area of the garage ceiling (about 8’ x 10’) had water damage and needed new drywall. JA Drywall was very professional and quick to respond to emails and phone calls. They scheduled and completed the job quickly. I would definitely hire again."

"When we first met with Lew Merryfield, our home was a disaster.  Smoke and intense heat had made it necessary to completely gut and restore our home.  It was a time of great despair and confusion.  Lew was very reassuring that his company would be able to handle to assignment and allow us to return to a home that was better than ever, and agreed to bid the job in the format requested.
After the contract was signed the Merryfield Construction Group was very active, and progress was made every week.  We opted to hire our own subcontractors for plumbing and HVAC, and an electrical contractor recommended by the provider.  The provider and their staff worked well with the other contractors and were communicative with us during the process.  A promise to never abandon working on our home for any significant period of time was kept.  Building options and recommendations were presented at appropriate times and were appreciated.  Lew and his brother George worked with us to solve problems that arose and we always felt like it was a partnership and that they took great pride in their work.  Additional work outside the original contract and work change orders were appropriate and reasonably priced.
The fire was one week before Christmas in 2013, and we were able to move back in late October 2014.  Although this time frame was slightly outside of the original estimate, it was not considered unreasonable given the nature of the work and the change orders. After we moved in, the provider has done a nice job on following up any problem areas and punch list items.
We are very happy with our "new" home and are confident that the provider will continue to stand behind the work.  The overall job turned out much better than we could have expected.  Lew and George Merryfield, and their staff, particularly Tom Ferry, Sean, and Scott, were always respectful and friendly, and took obvious pride in their crafts.  In conclusion, we are glad we selected Merryfield Construction Group and would not hesitate to use them again in the future or recommend them to others."

"I highly recommend Montco Fencing.  They had replaced several fence sections and shored up posts in 2015.  Realized I should have replaced all fence sections so called them back to replace remaining.  Competitive pricing for very high quality workmanship. They do not come out with prefab fence sections but, instead, build fence post by fence post on site taking time to ensure post heights within each section and across all sections are level, even in areas of yard that are uneven  The crew that worked on my project were pleasant and courteous, skilled and worked hard to complete the job by end of day -- without cutting any corners -- and left the area clean of all old fencing debris.  The only reason I awarded them the one B for promptness among A's for all categories, is that their arrival time was much later than what had been communicated.  I learned the reason for this is that they custom cut each fence post -- not only do they not come with pre-fab sections, they actually cut each and every fence post individually -- and it was taking longer than anticipated.  This is understandable but would just suggest they be proactive in alerting customers if their arrival time is going to significantly deviate from what was originally communicated.  But, I would use them again for sure and would highly recommend them to others."

"I used an Angie's list special to replace a leaky bathroom facet.  It was easy to setup the appointment and they came on time.  Now, this job was somewhat of a pain as it was a pedistal sink and needed to be pulled off the wall to change the facet.  The old facet was also completely rusted and it took them over two hours and they didn't charge extra for the added work.  That's the good.
The reason I'm giving them a C is how they reinstalled the sink.  The sink was attached to the wall with two screws but when they reattached it they just chalked it on.  As you would expect this lasted less than a week.  The one worker even commented on how he was also a builder and that was why he could take the sink off without damaging tile.  Well, if he was so knowledgeable I think he would realize chalk is not going to hold a sink to a wall.  I realize that this was a bigger job than advertised and would have been even willing to pay extra to have the job done right put to not do something so obvious, come on.  So my challenge to find a reasonable plumber who does not charge a fortune continues?

"I called and was able to quickly get an estimate and get the work scheduled right away. This was important as I was selling my house and needed to get the work done. The work to the structure under the porch was top notch and done quickly. The initial repairs done on the old windows was not done in a quality manner. But when I took photos and sent them to Luis he had someone out to fix the problems the very next day. In the end, the job done on the windows was acceptable, given the time constraints they were under. I would have like a little better quality on the windows, but as I said it was acceptable."

"The job went very well and smoothly, which is what we expected from Nolan.  We had hired them in 2012 when we first bought our house and we had a substantial amount of painting done (large family room with two-storey high walls, kitchen/sunroom, main entrance/foyer, formal living room, dining room, hallways upstairs, home office, three bedrooms, one large walk-in closet, and two bathrooms upstairs).  It was $10,000 and we felt it was money well spent, because we were never stressed and never worried.  The quality of the work is second to none.  Not a single mistake or drip or missed spot anywhere.  They do the work fast and they are polite, responsive, and professional.  They may be more expensive than others but if you can afford it, and you don't want to stress about the job getting done right, hire Nolan.  I never hesitate to recommend them to neighbors.  My only issue this time (Feb. 2014) was some very slight lack of professionalism on the part of the painter who did the work, at one point he stood on two table leaves (extensions) which I had covered with a blanket and which were on the floor, underneath a sofa.  They were too heavy for me to move before they came to do the work, so I left them there.  When the painter moved the sofa, he did not move the table leaves but rather stood on them at one point to reach a higher point on the wall.  I was lucky I saw him do this at the time, and I told him to please not stand on them (he did not know what they were).  He could have damaged them since they have wooden pegs and metal flanges which allow them to be attached to the table, and those could have been broken off or caused dents in the polished surface of the wood.  After he left I checked each table leaf and it seems they were fine, but I felt that a professional painter should not stand on anything you own, they should stand on their own step ladders.  There was also some slight damage done to a light fixture in the bathroom which the painter said he just touched and it came loose, and we have to just glue it back into place.  I didn't want to make a fuss because I'm not that type of person, but I felt they should fix it, not me, because it was fine before they came.  These are the only times I've seen this type of thing from Nolan painting and they are small matters, but worth mentioning.  Overall they do very good work and I would still hire them again, but I would make sure to move anything that could possibly be stood on or damaged!  Family and visitors often remark on our colors (we made use of Nolan Painting's free color consultant service) and on the quality of the paint work, and I always tell them we hired the best painters.

"In March 2011, a rock pad was laid as a foundation for our large garage being delivered.  Excellent work performed.  As a result of the impressive, professional job done, we had Rock a Fellas redo our deck in July, 2011.  A re-decking took place with Timbertech decking materials with radiance rails.  This was not an easy job, but Rock was very helpful in offering important advice and opinions on where to select materials etc.  He also took care of ordering the dumpster to haul away debris, a detail which can be overlooked by an overwhelmed customer.  He also rectified any concerns/issues with a prompt, professional manner which ultimately led to our great satisfaction when job was completed.
