"Went with Manfredia's again! Ran into a problem with the garage roof an a major leak but Manfreida's came through with flying colors. After I put in my call the owner was out to do the estimate for me the same week an even did a little extra by taking down some mushrooms ( ewwww) that had been lurking where the leak had been particularly bad. In order to save my otherwise perfectly good, very full, garage they were even able to fit me into the schedule the following week to get the roof ripped off, re-decked and water tight before an upcoming storm. What a life saver! The crew that came out was very nice and worked swiftly, over all the job took less then three days to complete. They even replaced a small part on the back of the roof that had rotted and replaced all the trim sections with pvc so the carpenter bees wont be be making any more holes! Everything came out wonderfully I enjoy seeing it every time I pull into the driveway. I love working with Manfredia's and will DEFIANTLY be calling again for my next project. Thanks!!"
"Jermaine and his guys were great. Arrived on Time and got the job done. I originally scheduled to have a ton of junk removed from my garage, but I mentioned my garbage disposal being broken and they were able repair it the very same day. I’d Definitely recommend Sunny’s Services, you now have a repeat customer. Thanx guys"
"Juan had his crew come out and do the work. We had water damage from water heater failure. They did a great job repairing drywall, repairing base boards, and painting. They worked with me on the schedule. They kept area clean. Would definitely use again. "
"Joe Sullivan's painting did our office and hall columns and the results were great. We had them come back to paint a ceiling that was water stained over the winter and weeks later the stain cannot be seen. Both times Joe was responsive via email and fit the jobs into very specific days that we needed. They might not be the least expensive around but you get what you pay for. We will be calling Joe again whenever our next project comes up."
"We needed a new lower roof and once the winter weather broke we got put into the schedule and the work was done promptly. Took them only one day to rip off the roof, cut out three bad spots and replace with new plywood. Then re-shingle the roof and re-side one wall. It looks great and best of all no leaks. Everyone was very professional, provided us pictures of the damage they fixed and left the property as clean as they found it. Great experience! "
"They come out and provide estimate, on time, when work started they arrived later in the AM than expected but no specific time was set. They installed fence after I showed them where to install. Came home that night to a VERY crooked section of fence. I called they came out next day and fixed it. Installer was very nice."
"Great father and son team. I liked what they did with the 3rd floor plumbing and used them for basically everything else that came up. I'm a recent first time home buyer and appreciated the advice they gave, not just on plumbing but general house maintenance. Great work for a competitive price and they gave me some discounts for being a VIP customer (see list above). "
"I called and was able to quickly get an estimate and get the work scheduled right away. This was important as I was selling my house and needed to get the work done. The work to the structure under the porch was top notch and done quickly. The initial repairs done on the old windows was not done in a quality manner. But when I took photos and sent them to Luis he had someone out to fix the problems the very next day. In the end, the job done on the windows was acceptable, given the time constraints they were under. I would have like a little better quality on the windows, but as I said it was acceptable."
"we had a challenging job- a cedar split level 2 to 3 story home on a hill side. -a chimney that had flaking off stucco on the top -natural finished garage doors that was faded and chipped -a small bathroom with wallpaper - the wall paper turned out to be extremely difficult to remove (an experienced painted took two days just to remove the wall paper, then had to resurface the walls.. the crew was excellent- showed up every morning early, kept us informed of the plans for the day, and worked late. the job was finished in just over a week- and no hidden costs. Altogether quite pleased with the work. "
Yes, barndominiums are energy-efficient as long as insulation professionals properly install quality insulation, windows, and doors. Utility bills for barndo living can be up to 50% lower than those for a traditional home. Make your barndo more energy efficient by working with contractors and HVAC professionals to strategically place windows, doors, and heating/cooling systems.
Technically, most states allow tiny homes, but it depends on the definition of tiny and whether the structure is permanent. Zoning laws regarding home size and construction are significant factors. For instance, a tiny home may be legal as a recreational vehicle in most areas, but you may only install it on a property if it complies with building and zoning codes.
Yes, you can use a storage shed several ways, including as a chicken coop, but you'll need to make some modifications. You will have to add a chicken door, roosts, ventilation near the roof, mesh on the windows, and insulation if you live in a colder climate. Additionally, you’ll want to ensure that the shed is predator-proof so no other animals can harm your chickens. You should also add a run and nest boxes to your shed.
There's no simple answer to which is less costly: wood or metal-framed homes. In most cases, metal building components cost more than wooden ones, while entire metal buildings cost less than wooden versions. However, regardless of the exterior framing or structure, each must meet similar building codes. This means that the costs are about the same, even considering that wood will require more maintenance than metal over time.
The lifespan of a barn is typically 40 to 60 years, but with skillful construction and proper maintenance, it can last up to 100 years. The actual lifespan depends on several factors, including the barn type, materials, usage, and climate. For example, the posts of a pole barn should last 50 years or longer, but if the structure is used for livestock in a rainy climate, it may rot within the first decade. Custom designs with high-end materials tend to last the longest. To get the best estimate for your barn's lifespan, you should consider its material type and intended use.
