Pittsburgh Gas Grill & Heater Co. sells, installs and services gas grills, fireplace inserts and logs, heaters and gas lights. We sell only American-made products of the highest quality with the best warranties in the industry.

"The only reason that I gave 1 star is because there is nothing lower! This company is the most unprofessional company that I have ever dealt with. They made a commitment to perform a repair/cleaning on my grill the week before memorial day - they never showed up, never responded to calls or texts. Then 2 weeks later it's all sunshine and lollipops - can we come and clean your grill? No apology, or anything. The person here didn't do much more than text on his phone while here. He painted the outside hood of my grill and it is a total mess. It has runs, streaks and missed spots. The repairman told me to buy more paint and keep putting more coats of paint until it eventually evens out. I don't recommend this company for any services - they cannot even return a call or text. Sketchy."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

This is a matter of personal preference, as each method has its own pros and cons. Oil furnaces are safer, but the smell can be off-putting to some consumers. Oil is also more expensive than gas. However, oil furnaces boast a higher BTU rate per hour, so a smaller amount of oil can heat a larger space when compared to a gas furnace.

Propane is more cost-efficient than natural gas on a per-unit basis because it produces twice as much heat energy as an equivalent amount of natural gas. But propane is not ideal if you already have a gas line installed. The best choice for your home depends on the efficiency of your appliances and the amount of installation required of your fuel choice.

There isn’t a way to convert electric fireplaces easily or cheaply to gas. The process requires major renovations, as opposed to wood fireplaces, which are often already vented and have space for the gas-burning equipment. To convert an electric fireplace to gas, you’d need to remove your old fireplace and get a completely new install.

Sometimes. While many traditional homes use copper, galvanized steel, PVC, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), and PEX, mobile homes will typically use PVC, CPVC, or PEX. These materials are more flexible, easier to work with, and handle colder temperatures.

In some ways, yes, and in some ways, no. As for how they’re the same, propane and gas both burn via the same process, combustion, and at the same temperature, around 3,600 degrees Fahrenheit. The difference is that propane produces more heat per unit than gas. One cubic foot of propane contains 2,516 BTU, while one cubic foot of gas contains 1,030 BTU.
