"Josh Rutter removed a huge tree stump and the roots from my yard in Oct.10,2020. He does an excellent job, with a remote, in maneuvering a big machine thru a small yard. Dealt with unforeseen and unexpected interruptions very well. Answered all questions, was punctual and friendly. Would recommend him to all. The only negative...his company does not remove the mulch and he tells you this upon contract. I, like most folks, did not comprehend that I would have 3+ tons of it. As a senior citizen female, I could not remove it myself and went thru much hardship trying to find someone who would. No one wants this stuff, despite what some people say, and no one will remove it for free. Mulch removal was almost as costly as Rutters work. He is A GREAT WORKER and REASONABLE IN PRICE, JUST BE PREPARED AND HAVE SOMEONE LINED UP TO DEAL WITH THE CLEAN UP--IF YOUR FAMILY WILL DO IT FOR FREE BE HAPPY. I had no free help to work with and the mulch was approx 22 inches deep covering an entire 8x12 lawn. Then, be ready to plant grass seed."

"I had 2 flowering pear trees that I needed to get cut down. I had one quote already from one service but wanted to get a quote for another. I checked with 6 different places and Horhut Tree Experts were the only one to respond for a request for quote. They got a price back to me fairly quickly and were very competitive in their price. I had also read the many positive reviews already made and was impressed so I immediately gave them the job. Given the weather conditions, it did take some time to get me on their schedule but when they came they were on time and made a quick work of bringing both trees down. They also did a great job in the stump removal. They also accomodated some additional things I asked them for - getting rid on a large branch from a tree not quoted and grinding the stump of a smaller tree I had cut down before. For a very minor additional charge, they got that taken care of too. I'm very happy with their work and would highly recommend them! No complaints whatsoever."

"The project went well. Both trees were cut down to my satisfaction and I thought the price was very reasonable. The only inconvenience for me happened when someone came to grind out the stump and did not remove the debris. I question why it was left behind and was told I did not pay for this and it would be an extra cost. I was given a written estimate and it stated a stump price. I did not know that meant only to grind and not to remove the debris. I am new to this and never had a tree cut down before. I did not know to ask about removal and this was never stated to me by Lumberjack Tree Service.
In the end this issue was resolved and I now know to ask about the extras. I just feel that the removal of the left behind tree chips should have been stated in the written estimate or at least verbally discussed.
I am happy with the end result and will use this company again.
