The guy Luis from Safeway Heating LLC came and checked the system for since it was leaking. He checked the air flow, the filter, and checked the condenser temperature and pressure. He then stated I needed freon in my system that is why it's leaking. Once that was done he cleaned the water that was in the secondary pan of the ac unit and told me I should be good. That night my ac went out again. When I went to inspected it there was water leaking from my ac unit again into the secondary pan. I contacted Safeway Heating LLC again and when Luis came back out he claimed I needed a new coil and wrote me a contract for that. I then decided to have someone else come check my temperature and pressure again since now my ac was now blowing hot air. Once the other person hooked their system up they seen the pressure were extremely high and inquired if freon was added and what kind. I checked the invoice that Safeway Heating LLC provided and it said 410a. The guy informed me that, that was not the right freon and my system takes R22. When I contacted Safeway Heating LLC to double check what was put in my system, the lady Jess told me she had to wait to contact Louis since he was on another job to find out what he put in my system. Also she said that it should be 410a since that is what most systems take and that is what they mainly have in their office. I informed my system clearly states r22 so I dont know why Louis would put something else inside. She then said well maybe he did put r22 in and she doesn't know because she's not a techician. I informed her that the invoice states he put in 410a not r22. Jess then continue on and said it will take a while to reach Louis since he's doing another job. I then asked her what do they normally do in a situation like this and she stated she needs to speak with Louis first. This is insane because it's over 100° outside and she can't just call Louis up so we are able to resolve this issue quickly.

Always professional and swift service. Can’t speak more highly a hvac contractor in nepa. The most professional, respectable HVAC firm in NEPA I have ever dealt with for my home’s plumbing and HVAC maintenance, installation and ongoing needs. The owners are great people, honest, decent and reliable. They have repaired damage from other irresponsible contractors and are frank, their pricing is upfront and fair and cannot speak more highly about them. In a field of murky characters, Safeway are heads above the rest in their industry. Thank you for the help over the years and look forward to working together in the years to come. Update: I am a very particular person and Lou and his staff are frankly the most honest and upfront people I have met. This man, free of charge, came out and called-out dishonest contractors. He’s a frank gentleman, like myself and calls it as it is. To point out his honesty, I was hospitalized and in a coma for months and returned home. I called Safeway and Lou came out and I asked him for a quote on replacing my A/C condenser. He reminded me that I had paid him and he had replaced it just a few years prior. These are genuine, licensed, insured professionals that I would trust with my daughter and I trust no one but my family with her. They’re amazing professionals who, sadly, are hard to find nowadays. They are a great team, they have never failed me in the decade-plus that I’ve done business with them. I take their professional opinion over anyone else’s with my HVAC/plumbing repair needs. These are truly good people, and I don’t put that to paper for contractors very often. They are the best in NEPA, in my opinion. Growing up, my neighbors owned a generational plumbing company, all drove new Cadillacs; but we’re good people. Times have changed, but Safeway is honestly your best solution if you have a problem. You’ll have a licensed, insured professional for life who will have your back if something happens. I’m a physically disabled American and he treats me with complete respect, honesty and compassion. Choose them, please, if you true quality work done. He’s repaired all the mistakes and cut-corners from the builder of my home (not even 20 years old yet…), but if you want a frank, honest opinion from a licensed and insured contractor; Safeway is your go-to. I don’t have words to describe how appreciative I am for all their assistance over the years.

Puhlease do not go by these seemingly decent reviews. Omg. We had to replace almost everything they did in our house as everything had issues. We put out over 25k a year ago and now have to put out thousands to correct problems. The owners wife will most likely respond with a million reasons why Iâ m wrong. Believe what you want but damn, the work sucks. Everything leaks and it is been so expensive. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. They also promised and it is in our contract that they would come for free for two years to winterize, etc but after no less than fifteen calls and texts . Zero response. Surprise, surprise. Run!!! Oh, plus the water softener they installed was not the right one for our water and now we have to have it replaced by a quality plumber in order to have safe water. Last but not least, they were supposed to completely the work in five days. 19 weeks later. Shoddy work â complete. â

"Hi Gina, Winterization is not included in our annual service contracts- routine yearly maintenance is. Every call or text message that comes into the office is logged and recorded and I have phone records to substantiate that. I have not heard from either you or your husband since last summer and that was regarding when the technician was arriving to hook up a thermostat that day. If you were having issues with your equipment and had notified us we would have been out to resolve them. We can not resolve something we are not made aware of. Your work started April 25th and was complete by May 10th when I received final payment. The scope of work also changed three times during that period as well as additions requested for unpaid work (carpentry) that we did not charge you for and was not contracted and required longer amounts of time on site. If you would like to discuss whatever issues you have please give me a call at the office. Jessica"

Hired them for a steam heating problem .They said I needed a new boiler which I allowed them to install. There have been nothing but problems since. My radiators bang, thump, and make a dripping sound. They have come out on several occasions to blame everything and anything for the problems.Tried to sell me new radiators,tried to say my pipes were bad.Said I had a clogged pipe and charged me $900.00 when all it needed was a $35.00 vent. The drain valve started to leak and their employee came out and told me I needed a new one and he would be the one to install it. When I called to see when he would be coming I was told he never said that. So I was called a liar.. I paid these people a few dollars shot of $10,000.00 when all I really needed were a few $ 35.00 vents. Told me he was giving me a $50.00 thermostat for free but he left the box with the receipt in it and it was under $25.00 and bought at a hardware store not even a plumbing supply. Below is a picture of how he left some wiring.

"Hi Linda, I have no estimates on file for you for new pipes or radiators. As standard of course we do not suggest replacing radiators since new radiators are not available locally, are expensive, and its more often than not unnecessary. I do, however, have email communications from you regarding the clog in your kitchen pipe where you clearly agree that it had a clog and state that you were able to feel it yourself. This was after numerous attempts to chemically flush that clog. We responded to your home on a dozen occasions to make adjustments and address your concerns. We went around your home with an infrared thermometer more than once when you were complaining that some rooms were cold etc. All rooms on both of those occasions were within two degrees of the set temperature on your thermostat which is normal for all heating systems but especially for systems in poorly insulated Victorian homes. When we proposed other options to you such as radiator valves and vents you informed us that you were not spending another dollar and while I completely understand that you can not expect us to provide additional uncontracted work for free. Your assumption that you did not need the new boiler is incorrect. Our first communication prior to performing any work you informed me that you have had five other contractors in over the last couple years and were unsatisfied with all of them. I should have heeded the warning. This seems to be a pattern. Our last appointment in October for your seasonal maintenance the only concern that you raised was that you could not shut the valve tight enough for it to not leak, so they shut it for you and there was no leak. In regards to the email you sent me following your maintenance (which again noted none of these concerns) - I am sorry that you have a drip from your humidifier - we did not install it and have never been paid to work on it. If the technician who completed your maintenance attempted to tighten something for you that was done as a favor and quite frankly is against company policy to do so for precisely this reason. Additionally, standard thermostats are the same no matter where they are purchased and your home is geographically closer to a hardware store than a plumbing supply."

Gave me quote for roof and siding, roof leaks after their new installation, they do not return your calls, siding was never done, was advised by Luis that the job was more than he quoted and will not be able to do siding, even thou he billed for it, roof leaks, STAY AWAY

"Hi Alec, You have left this review on every available platform yet have not contacted me once. I cannot return a call you do not make. I have call tracking and recording software that will show you have not contacted us since the summer. The last time you did contact us we scheduled an appointment to meet you and you canceled it at the last minute - I have the text records showing this. I sent someone out to repair the leak in the garage once you started posting these reviews (December 2nd, 2022) without speaking to you and you are aware they were there making the repair because you spoke to them via your security cameras. They video-recorded the entire time they were there. Additionally, we were never contracted to complete your siding. We gave you an estimate for the siding but when you were limited by financing that line item was cut. I have electronic records of all of this which shows you approving the estimate AFTER the siding was removed and shows the actual work order NEVER included siding or a couple of items that, again, were omitted when you could not secure financing for the original cost. If you are still experiencing issues with the work we were actually contracted to complete please call, text, or email the office so we can schedule a time to come out and address them."
