"Brody's service met and exceeded any and all expectations. Brody and his assistant were hired to remove & remodel a bathtub & shower unit. The project was to remove and install a new more disabled friendly set up.. This was for my elderly disabled mother. The bathroom turned out AMAZING !!!!!!! ... truly what a transformation. They not only did a professional, job, they were so polite and went out of their way to clean their work area. They took precautions to ensure no dust or debris few into the other rooms as project progressed. I am extremely pleased in their work , professionalism & how very polite and courteous they were to my elderly disabled mother. They also added grab bars in the shower and around the toilet area. A handicap bench was also installed into the shower.. I would recommend this company to anyone & everyone. We were so very lucky to have come across such a wonderful, professional company with such kindness . The new shower unit is much safer and under friendly for my disabled elderly mother."

"We had to wait a bit for the project to start because he had jobs before ours, but it was worth the wait. Dion kept in contact and was always willing to discuss the project and my wishes for the project. I sent him pictures of what I liked and he was able to give me feedback. He even suggested a shower door that was cheaper than the one I originally liked and it ended up being a much better door as well! While he was here working on the project, he was focused and cleaned up each day. He treated our home as if it were his home and he took great care and paid attention to detail when completing our shower. We are very pleased with the outcome of the shower and the medicine cabinet!"

"Writing We absolutely loved our kitchen cabinet remodel. The owner's dad did an amazing job, and I highly recommend him. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were outstanding. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience was very different. In May, we were told the remaining work would take three weeks, but it wasn't completed until July 14. Communication from the owner was poor, and we repeatedly had to ask for updates. The work only wrapped up after we stressed an important deadline. The quality felt rushed. We were quoted for 6 feet of flooring but only about 4 feet was replaced. The crew left debris on our freshly stained deck, including over 10 screws we removed ourselves. Construction debris wasn't picked up until the next day, and we weren't informed. Our new exterior door was also left unfinished, requiring more repairs. Based on our experience, I would only recommend this company for cabinet refinishing by the owner's dad. The remaining work and oversight did not meet our e"

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

An alcove tub is designed to fit into a three-walled enclosure in a bathroom. A drop-in tub, on the other hand, is placed into a custom-built frame or enclosure. This frame can be fitted to an alcove, making a drop-in tub a viable alternative if you want a more custom or spa-like look. Because the frame is custom, drop-in tubs offer more design flexibility and a wider range of materials, such as cultured marble or tile, compared to the simpler acrylic or fiberglass of a typical alcove tub. The frame for a drop-in tub can also be placed anywhere in the bathroom it fits, not just in an alcove.

When buying caulk, look for ones labeled for tub and tile. These have either acrylic latex or silicone compounds. This allows the caulk to stick to smooth surfaces and prevent mildew from forming.

The most common type of tub is the alcove; most bathtubs are shower and tub combinations. Many suburban homes feature these as the default option because they allow the flexibility for users to take a bath or a shower—a notable benefit for those with pets and young kids.

Installing a clawfoot tub with a minimum of 6 inches of clearance from surrounding walls allows ample room for the faucet and pipework, makes cleaning easier, and reduces the chance of moisture being trapped between the tub and the walls. It might need to be closer if the faucet comes directly out of the wall.

A good soaking tub will allow you to completely submerge yourself in the water, so it needs to be at least 20 inches deep. Luxury soaking tubs are 24 inches deep so that you can easily have enough space to be submerged in the water once the tub is full.
