"Prodigy Electrical is top notch!! From the moment they stepped on the property, they were professional. They arrived at 8:00 A.M. and hit the floor running. Keaton (owner), Simon ( lead tech), Ken and Tim went right to what had to be done. We were having the main panel upgraded: 2 ceiling fans, and their circuits installed: an outdoor box and cabling installed for the new hot tub, and a new meter / main switch installed. They kept us informed the whole time. Cleaned up after each stage of install. When they were done (4:15 P.M.), you wouldnt have known that they were here. They cleaned up every site they worked in. It's possible to get power from an outlet for a light switch. However, you must install additional wiring to get current from the outlet to the switch and from the switch to the load it will control. Also, you must ensure that the outlet's electrical circuit can accommodate the additional demand.

Some appliances, like hair dryers, have their own built-in GFCI protection, so connecting them to a standard outlet is fine.

A faulty light switch can trip a breaker due to circuit overload or a short circuit. A faulty light switch may not always trip a breaker, so don’t use that as your only sign that something’s wrong. Always investigate the cause of a switch that isn’t working properly, feels hot to the touch, or is making unusual noises.

For most applications, you won’t need a neutral for 240V. There are certain codes and regulations that differ between areas so just because you technically may not need one in order for the device to function properly, it may still be a local requirement. Professionals in your area know the requirements, which is just another reason to hire one instead of taking on a project that is frankly not very DIY-friendly.
