"Chris and his team were great. They went above and beyond to fix the trim and paint peeling issues I had and generally make my house look great. I will definitely consider them again, especially for exterior trim projects."

Small jobs welcome

"Chris came to assemble this rather complicated play kitchen for my kid's birthday. He was very polite and clean, and got the assembly done in about 2.5hrs (which makes me very glad that I hired HandyExpress, because it probably would have taken me 6 hours). My daughter will love it!"

"I'm having insulation blown into the walls of my 1952 house, and when the insulation guy pulled off the siding he noticed the particle board was wet under a corner of a window. The insulation guy was coming back in a couple of days to complete his work, so I needed a quick response to fix this underlying issue before he blew in the insulation. I pinged Angi, and they gave me David's contact late on a Wednesday afternoon. Based on my picture of the siding showing the corner of the window and the wet board, he estimated a couple of hours work. He was able to show up Thursday about 1:00 and the job was done by 3 by David and his helper. Quick response, excellent work. I would definitely use his services again."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

The type of sand you need for your sand filter depends on the manufacturer’s instructions, but you’ll need to use sand specifically for pool filters. Silica sand is a wallet-friendly, common choice that’s relatively easy to replace. You’ll choose between various grades of sand and different-sized sand grains.

An aboveground pool should be level within 1 inch—and it starts to become unsafe after a couple of inches. Any slope will lead to an uneven distribution of water, which will put pressure on your pool’s structure, wearing down the pool liner. In certain cases, it could cause your pool to collapse. Even if you’re within a safe window, you may still notice that the water level is uneven.

You don’t need to drain the whole pool to patch a pool liner, but be prepared to dive in with your swimsuit and goggles to patch a leak below the water level. By draining the pool, you can actually expose the liner to more harsh conditions, like wind and sunlight, that cause the tears to worsen. It’s best to use the ink test and waterproof patches or tape to identify the leak and patch it up.

Whether or not a pool needs a dedicated circuit depends on the electrical needs of the motor, lights, and pump. Keep in mind that pool motors can use a lot of electricity. A dedicated circuit can prevent the breaker from tripping whenever you use the pool. A small motor for an equally small pool may only need a GFCI outlet. It’s best to plug it directly into the outlet rather than using an extension cord. You should also consult an electrician to ensure your pool’s electrical system is in accordance with local regulations.

You do not need to excavate or lay a foundation for a stock tank pool. You should, however, level the area where you plan to put the stock tank. Also, stock tanks full of water and people can get heavy, so do not place them on a deck or other raised structure that could collapse from the weight.
