"Prompt and very communicative. The quote on the phone was ;around $300.00 to which I asked if that meant $350 or below and the reply once again was yeah, right around $300.00. I felt that was reasonable so I had them do the work. After the install, which went very quickly as I'm sure they have done this 1000 times, I was presented with a bill for $463.20, which included $200 for labor and a TV bracket that could have held a 90 TV. If you quote the customer, stick to the quote. There was not any unforeseen complexity in this install. I recommend them for the work, as they are really competent. I would get the quote in writing before they show up or start drilling holes in your wall. They work fast, they are communicative in terms of showing up and asking you what you'd like. I was disappointed that the final bill was WAY different than what was discussed by phone. Geek Squad would have actually been cheaper."
"I hired this company to install 3 light fixtures out front of my house. William installed siding mounting blocks and installed new wiring to a timer so they would automatically come on. He did very neat and clean work, cleaning up and vacuuming. I am happy I hired this company and will be referring them out to my friends."
"They installed a TV for us on the wall. and took the time for the best placement and fine-tuned all video and audio settings. When they were done you couldn't see a wire anywhere. A couple of good guys that really know their business. I highly recommend hiring them."
"Installation Technician was prompt on arrival, friendly, informative and efficient. Will definitely recommend this person to those looking to have their TVs mounted"
"Great job mounting large tv above fireplace and setting up the cable box and DVD player in the closet. I received quotes from 5 area installers and they were the most affordable. High quality work."
"Thomas &Thomas was very easy to work with and very thorough in their work. We had a number of issues to repair to obtain our CO to sell a property. Thomas &Thomas completed all of the items on the list in a timely manner. We would definitely use them again!"
"Jansiel helped us by assembling furniture for my children’s room. Everything looks great and is well assembled. He was efficient, super friendly and helpful! Thanks Jansiel!"
"Tracy was fantastic. I hired him to help my parents mount a Samsung Frame TV, and he exceeded expectations in every way. He was prompt, communicative, professional, and incredibly kind to my parents — they now rave about him.
The project ended up being far more complicated and time-consuming than we anticipated, but Tracy stayed positive, worked through every issue, and honored his original price. I even bought a mounting box that was too large, and he went out of his way to install it in a more convenient and discreet location so everything looks perfect. Proof is in the final product, which looks excellent and professional.
It’s rare to find someone this reliable and fair. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again and recommend him without reservation."
The shorter the coaxial cable, the better. The further you run the cable, the more signal loss you'll experience. At 50 feet, you'll see significant signal loss, and by 100 feet, you'll experience at least a 30% drop in signal strength.
Fire and electronics typically don't mix, but that doesn't mean you can't mount your TV on a brick fireplace. However, you should proceed with caution. If you do not use your fireplace regularly, you can be assured that your TV will remain undamaged. However, if you do take advantage of it, be aware that hot air, containing soot, will travel upwards. Even with the flue fully open, the temperature above the fireplace can still get very high.
Mounting a TV to a brick wall can be safe and secure if done correctly. However, it requires proper installation to ensure the TV is firmly attached and won't pose a risk of falling. Guarantee your television is safely secured by checking the manufacturer's weight limits of your TV mount and wall anchors. Examine the condition and quality of the brick wall to ensure it is capable of sustaining the TV.
The VESA mounting standard refers to the layout of the mounting holes on the back of all televisions that follow the standard. These holes appear in the same place on all TVs of a certain size. This allows the mounting bracket and hardware manufacturers to build the brackets to fit the VESA standard. Ideally, if everyone follows the VESA standard, any brand of TV should fit any brand of mounting bracket, as long as the sizes match up correctly.
There are a few easy ways to locate a wall stud without a stud finder. First, try knocking on the wall with your knuckles. Most parts of the wall will sound hollow, but when you tap over a stud, it will sound more solid. Alternatively, since studs are spaced 16 or 24 inches apart, you can measure those distances from a corner of the room, which will always have a stud.
