"I'm not fully moved into the home yet, but I will update when I am there permanently. The crew was very professional, worked diligently, cleaned up after every day of work (three day job--french drain expansion, two additional sump pumps installed, window drains into the sump pumps, pretty extensive job)."

"All the work was done according to our contract and crew of four men stayed until everything was completed, about 6:30 pm. Installed interior French drains and sump pump. They worked together well and quietly, leaving work areas free of debris and dirt/dust at end of project."

"Dan and his crew repaired a bridge that is in my driveway. The bridge goes over a water run-off trench. They poured a concrete foundation under the bridge to minimize erosion and installed jacks for supporting the bridge. They also replaced a section of my driveway that was crumbling apart. They did a wonderful job, were neat, on time and cost effective. I would highly recommend them for your job."

"Great! I had this work performed in March 2018. Summer 2018 has seen constant rain and flash flooding. Previously I would have had several feet of water in my basement from the saturating rain and storms that came through together (5+inches in 6 hours with 12 inches in 48hrs in already wet ground). Basement has been completely dry. I thought work would be more noticeable. The concrete over the drain is nicely done. No complaints about the work, better results than I expected (I expected it to be more noticeable)."

"I left a review back in October when I hired them. They now have finished the job. I could not be more pleased. I am overly satisfied with the crew that worked on my basement. Ryan and his guys were courteous and Ryan would brief and debrief me each day and they did not mind if I took a peek. They worked all day into the early evening. I was impressed. Phil gave me an 8-day turnaround and it took 7 and that was only because of my schedule which shortened two of their days and one day due to snow. I did have a couple of minor problems which when I called they were johnny-on-the-spot to come out and fix them. But let me tell you what was done... They trenched the entire perimeter of the basement including a bilco door area and an old dank coal room. (which other companies would not do, or even go into) In addition to the typical waterproofing, I also had them clean and dryloc paint the unfinished walls, again, including the bilco and coal room. I could not be more pleased with the results. The minor problems I spoke of were the dehumidifier leaking, some staples missed, and the chalking they put on the drain pipe came off (too cold to cure I believe). They came out last night and took care of it. The coal room needed more paint due to the excessive moisture in there the paint dripped off the ceiling. I asked Ryan if he could get to it (I was going to let it pass and do it myself) and he said if he had rollers... I had one and he painted the areas needed in the coal room. I am super stoked on these guys. If you need your basement waterproofed, no need to look anywhere but these guys. Super friendly, work with your schedule, great work ethic, and a very reasonable price. Just a note that Phil Sr. is one of the coolest guys you will ever deal with."

"Chris and his crew were excellent. The extent of Chris' knowledge was quite impressive. He made me feel like I was finally in good hands by showing and thoroughly discussing everything he found. During his inspection he checked every possible issue that could be causing the problems. He explained the repair processes necessary and showed me as he was doing them. They were courteous and cleaned up, leaving my property cleaner than when they arrived. They were very polite and more than willing to do whatever was necessary to help me complete the project as I wanted. I can not thank Chris and his team enough and would absolutely recommend their services."

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Outswing doors are more popular for exterior doors as they offer more room for moving items in and out of a home. And because the hinges are on the outside of the door, they’re more secure against potential break-ins. But, outswing doors are more susceptible to the elements and are more expensive. Comparing inswing vs. outswing doors depends on your budget, needs, and overall preference.

It does matter which way a hinge is installed because it’s possible to install a hinge backward. The hinge pin should face the direction in which the door will swing, making the pin visible. Exterior doors that swing outward need a security hinge with an Allen set screw in the center to prevent someone from removing the hinge from the outside and accessing the home or business.

Instead of a security door, you might opt for a heavy-duty screen door made from durable mesh, which allows better sunlight and airflow. Additionally, you could enhance security by installing strong locks on your existing door. A double-cylinder deadbolt provides robust security; however, be aware that some local laws prohibit them due to safety concerns during emergencies.

Storm doors aren’t necessarily outdated. In fact, there are many benefits to installing a storm door, including improving your home’s energy efficiency, keeping pests out of your house, and protecting your home against the elements. However, storm doors aren’t great if you live in an area with high humidity because the door can trap heat and potentially damage your front door.

If you’re installing hurricane ties, consider other storm-proofing projects. You could call a window pro to install storm windows, get in touch with a door installer to add storm doors, or just ask your hurricane tie installer what other projects they’d recommend you get done at the same time.
