Customers say: Quick response

"Carlton did an excellent job of replacing sections of our carpet that had been stained. Carlton was very honest in setting expectations up front that the results, given that one of the spots was in a doorway, might be too obvious, but he did a fantastic job. He also took the time to clean up after he finished the job. I would highly recommend his services."

"We had nearly all of the carpet on our second floor removed and replaced with LVP and they did an incredible job with it. Very fast, professional, and very patient while we were trying to play with different options and figure out exactly what we wanted to do. We'll be certainly going back to them when we need our first floor done."

"Steve and Nick went out of their way to meet our request--adding over 300 screws to help alleviate the loud, squeaky hardwood floors we have in our older home. They were on time, efficient, reasonable, have a great work ethic, and overall were a pleasure to have working in our home--a very friendly family business! We are so pleased with the new carpets and highly recommend them.

Carpet Stretching questions, answered by experts

Professional carpet repair services offer cost-effective solutions for damage such as burns, stains, and tears. Professionals utilize advanced tools and techniques, ensuring quality restoration that extends the carpet's life and preserves its appearance.

Generally speaking, restretch your carpets once every five years, though this timeframe depends on a number of factors, such as the level of foot traffic in the area. If the carpet looks wrinkled and there are loosened areas on the floor, go for the restretch. If everything looks and feels fine, you are good.

Deciding whether to clean or replace your carpet depends on its condition and age. If cleaning no longer resolves issues, it's time to consider a replacement. Key signs that you need to replace your carpet include:

  • Stains that are impossible to remove.

  • A persistent smell that lingers even after cleaning.

  • An increase in allergy symptoms.

  • The age of the carpet. Most manufacturers state that carpets should last about 10 years with proper care.

When cleaning is no longer effective, you should replace the carpet with a new one or consider other flooring options like vinyl or laminate.

Hiring a pro to stretch a carpet costs anywhere from $100 to $300, though this price increases if you also task the contractor to remove and replace the furniture from the room. Doing it on your own maxes out at $100, though renting the power stretcher and knee kicker extend the cost in some instances.

You can get away with stretching the carpet with some remaining items of furniture, so long as you have ready access to the parts of the carpet that require maintenance and you are not stretching through the furniture, as this leads to tears and fraying. Try to remove at least 50% of the furniture if you can’t remove it all.
