"Dean is a true professional in every sense of the word. From beginning to end was excellent. Dean responded on the same day I contacted him. He scheduled to come by the house and gave us a quote the very next day for a very reasonable price. He said it would take only 4 days and that's exactly what he delivered. He answered all our questions and even made paint brand & color recommendations. He went above and beyond in helping us find the color we had in mind but didn't know what it would look like on the wall. I'm glad we went with his recommendations because we love the color and how well the paint covers. He works free hand so there is no taping that takes extra time. He works very quite and fast, there were moments I forgot he was in the house. We felt very comfortable having Dean in our home. He made sure before he left that he did not leave one spot uncovered or any mistakes. We love the work he did for us and have yet to find any mistakes. If you can already see the texture of the existing wallpaper through the layer of paint, then the texture could also come through the new layer of wallpaper. If that’s the aesthetic you want, then proceed. But if you want a smoother surface, you should either strip off the existing paint and wallpaper or hang a layer of liner paper before proceeding.

When comparing peel-and-stick versus traditional wallpaper, peel-and-stick is more affordable and easier to DIY install. However, it doesn’t last as long as traditional wallpaper. Traditional wallpaper also holds up better in areas with moisture, such as kitchens and bathrooms.

While textured walls can elevate a space in many ways, there are a couple of downsides to consider. Namely, they’re hard to clean, and some textures fall out of fashion quickly. Make sure to consider all your options to find one you truly love before diving in.
