During the whole process Epic cancelled or rescheduled meetings at the last minute several times and was overall unresponsive. Epic the billed us double what they initially said would be the max. After much discussion they finally agreed to honor the original agreement. Since then, they have not sent any additional refund that was agreed upon and have stopped responding to communication. This was our first experience with a home builder and the worst experience I’ve had with any vendor of any kind. There are plenty of builder options, STAY AWAY FROM EPIC!!!"

The project was proposed based on previous work done by Kauffman’s steel, they erected a storage barn for me several years earlier. Because of the quality of that effort we talked about doing a home several years later. Their work is of the highest quality and their crews are all very professional. There were no shortcuts or compromises during construction. Every effort was made to insure everything was completed right the first time around. If there were changes needed during the process, they were handled as if the crew were working on their own home. Things were done right. They have lots of work and if you would like to get on their schedule, start working with them sooner than later. "Very high pressure sales. For your own sake have cameras rolling during sales pitch. Don’t let them make you believe that the installation is done by Erie. Totally subcontracted. Talked us into choosing them even though they were 7k higher than other roofers with the promise of higher quality service that didn’t happen, job site was a mess had to inspect gutters they were not cleaned. They came back out cleaned said it was done got back up on ladder gutters still full and found damaged siding on back of chimney. After filling with BBB repairs and cleanup were done just not worth the higher price. Price started at $26 a square for metal and $15. For fiberglass after 4 hours of sales it came down to $21 metal and $10.5 a square foot fiberglass. I surely have buyers remorse hopefully this review helps someone in their decision. Also suggest reading this [*** Link removed ***] prior to reading all the A+ ratings on BBB Also make sure proper permits were pulled they did not pull one till after the install when I questioned it. Good Luck"
