"We used Angie’s list to find a contractor to work on our main floor and second floor bathroom (and some other minor work). After several contractors visited our home and told us that they could not convert our main floor bathroom to a full (or quoted an excessive price for the work), we ultimately called CM Contracting after reviewing their ratings on Angie’s list and other sites. In our initial phone consultation, both the head contractor (Chris) and his son (Tyler, also a licensed contractor) were professional, prompt and timely with scheduling a visit. Within 48 hours, Chris and Tyler arrived to the home, accessed both bathrooms and discussed the scope of work required. Unlike other contractors who came up with a number on the spot, CM Contracting said they would research our building plans and get back to us with a number. After a week, we were contacted with a quote and request for a followup meeting. After meeting face to face to discuss the price, we agreed upon the work and a start date, and they acquired all permits needed for the scope of work. At the beginning of work, Tyler took incredible steps to ensure dust and debris would be clear from the main floor by taping paper down on the wood floors and vacuuming/sweeping at the end of the work day. Chris was in constant communication throughout the construction, regularly contacting us to give updates and discuss any minor change in the scope of work. He also did a great job managing his subcontractors, which resulted in a timely completion of the work. His electrician Ken did incredible work with wiring the bathroom and fans in the bedrooms. His plumber Don also did an incredible job removing a non-functioning water softener, plumbed two bathrooms, and installed additional control valves. Most importantly, everyone involved warrantied their work, which is a huge financial relief when choosing a contractor for your home. Overall, we were happy with the daily interactions we had with CM Contracting and their subcontractors and we are very happy with our experience."

"Excellent! We needed 4 Timber Retaining Walls that were jointly owned by 6 households (10 people) torn down & Replaced with Stone Retaining Walls. (Not an easy feat with multiple households, one being out of state for an extended period.) However, the paperwork was managed easily by A & J Excavation. All signatures were obtained electronically and work was able to begin. At the jobs completion, everyone was extremely pleased with the quality of the work. Several of us intend on using then again next year for other projects on our homes. Honest, great prices, quality materials, excellent finished product, a 1 year warranty, and easy to work with. "I can t speak highly enough of Louis and his sons! From the start, Louis was honest and realistic about the timeline for completion. Before he began working on our project (a brick veneer to cover up bricks that had been painted a hideous color), he would occasionally call to check in and keep us updated on the status of bricks we ordered and the end date of his current project. He said that he only takes on one project at a time, and that s absolutely true. He has been at my project every single day since they started. They haven t finished yet, but I m still writing this review because I trust they will continue this excellent work. They are hardworking, trustworthy, and honest. I have never had this great of an experience with any contractor, or anyone in this industry. Louis and his sons are third and fourth generation masons, so they have a genuine love and passion for their work. They combine their skills with real artistry. Louis proposed putting a row of smaller, half length bricks in (I think he called them header row bricks??) so the brick wall would look more authentic and industrial, which is the exact aesthetic we were going for! Every design choice he has made has been the right choice, and this is not the easiest, most straightforward brick wall to cover. I m honestly thrilled with the gorgeous work he s putting out. Not only that, but they clean up the worksite every day! I never even asked, they just did it on their own! Like, not just putting tools away in an orderly fashion, but sweeping/cleaning the floors and furniture. This allows me to live a normal life even though construction is being done in my kitchen. This tells you what good, honorable people they are. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Plus!!! They re great with my small dog who is home while they work and can be a bit nosey. My dog just loves them, and I think that s the biggest indicator of what great people they are. 10/10"
