"Showed up right at the time they said they would be at the house. They came fully prepared to start and finished the drains. The project was done earlier than expected. They were very professional and all was neatly done!"

"Corey was very professional and came to my house twice to quote my job and answer questions even though we are over an hour away in Pittsburgh. He did excellent work with his excavator- he is very precise with the shovel and dug the 60’ trench in a very tight spot. He and his coworker installed schedule 40 pvc for water at a depth of >40” and for electrical at a depth of 18”. He threaded the supply line and also my electrical as he dug the trench. He was friendly and patient even when our footer was 2’ thick and required an extra 4 hrs of jackhammering, which he did charge me for. His price was half that of two plumbers that quoted my job. Highly recommended."

"Absolutely recommend Poseidon Waterproofing. From the beginning through the end all employees listened, were knowledgeable, and worked non-stop. We had their inside waterproofing done in the basement and 29 feet (ca. 9 m) of outside french drains installed. Job turned into a problem child when a sewer line got broken inside, and a slab of cement was discovered while digging outside. These guys worked for three days in rainy 36 degree weather digging by hand the 2 foot x 4 foot x 29 foot trench needed for the drains. Cannot say thank you enough for a job well done. The system is working already and we are so happy."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

If your dishwasher isn’t draining, some common causes include a clogged drain filter, drain hose, or air gap. Also, if you have a garbage disposal, a clog in the disposal can back up your dishwasher since they share plumbing, as can a clog in your kitchen sink’s plumbing. A handy DIYer may be able to figure out how to unclog a dishwasher, but you may need to call in a plumber if you can’t locate and clear the clog yourself.

Main sewer lines can clog for several reasons. For example, if you regularly dump oil or grease down your drain, it could eventually block your line. Sometimes, tree roots can penetrate and grow inside old sewer pipes, creating a major blockage. Flushing bulky items (like paper towels, diapers, or baby wipes) can also clog your plumbing system.

To keep window wells from filling up with water, you need to stay on top of maintenance. Remove debris as it fills up, and regularly loosen the gravel at the base if it’s become compacted. You can also reslope your yard to make sure water flows away from the window well (and your home’s foundation), and you can even install a window well cover to prevent debris from building up. Installing an actual drainpipe at the base of the well can also prevent window well drainage problems.

You’ll likely pay between $300 and $450 to unclog your toilet with Roto-Rooter. However, the price could change depending on if the clog has caused a lot of damage, which your plumbing pro will want to inspect during your service appointment. Keep in mind that you won’t get a quote from Roto-Rooter over the phone. They have to send a pro out for an in-person cost estimate. You can also attempt to snake your own clog for a lot less, and simple drain snakes cost no more than $50.

Sometimes, the drain is just too clogged—thanks, stubborn hair and soap scum. In this case, you’ll need a more powerful drain cleaner than you can DIY safely at home. But this doesn’t mean you have to choose a traditional drain cleaner.

You can find biodegradable drain cleaners at your local home improvement store or online for those drains that need a little more oomph

While on the hunt for a formidable drain cleaner, the best options are non-chemical clog solutions that combine enzymes and bacteria.
