"Thank you [Member Name Removed]for your business. We are glad to hear your diy installation and startup went well!"

"Thank you [Member Name Removed] for the compliments and your review, this is what we love to hear and see!"
"Thank you, [Member Name Removed]! You picked a great system and we hope it serves you well for many years!"
Steve, the gentleman who does their sales, accommodated my schedule very well, and was extremely knowledgeable in the available systems and the benefits/drawbacks of each system. He was invaluable in determining the best system to go with given utility availability in our neighborhood. He had facts, figures, and data at the ready to show what the best options were, and all data was independently verifiable (sources for information were made available).
After reviewing the options and discussing the cost/benefit of each item, I settled on the combination of air handler and heat pump that made the most sense for my location. It was much less anxiety-inducing than I thought it would be; Steve was very open and forthright with his input. Rather than simply pushing the ultra-high-end items, we reviewed the cost-benefit side, which made me very confident that we had the proper combination.
About 3 weeks later, the equipment was in and we were ready to schedule the service. We scheduled a day that was suitable, and Matt (their installation technician) arrived on-time and ready to go. He had 2 assistants with him over the course of two days; I apologize that I don't recall their names. Matt and both assistants were always prompt, courteous, and professional without being overly stuffy. It's nice to be able to have a conversation without it being clinically sterile! They worked quickly, and had the majority of the equipment installed on the first day, including the fabrication of a custom base on which to mount the furnace. The second day was much like the first; they arrived within 2 minutes of their scheduled time, and were able to complete the installation (including setup of the control system) by noon that day.
All technicians used shoe covers while in the home to prevent tracking water and dirt in from outside. If they had they had to leave the premises, they were sure to let me know departure time and anticipated return time. Everything was installed properly and to code, and everything was cleaned up to at least the same condition it was originally in (if not better).
I also received follow up contact to make sure we were happy with the results of the installation and whether we had any questions regarding the overall process. Happily, we had no issues and everything was explained well enough that we did not need any additional visits or training.
I would highly recommend Gary & Sons to anyone looking to replace or upgrade their heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. There are many in this industry that are not as straightforward and knowledgeable, and that take shortcuts...Gary & Sons definitely go the extra mile, and it's worth every penny.
"Thank you [Member Name Removed] for your thorough review. You went beyond the norm and we really appreciate you sharing your experience here on Angie's List. It is nice that we as a company can step back and look at ourselves from outside in. You made that happen!"
"Why we were called: The customer's newly installed furnace by another contractor would not run a full heating cycle. The original contractor had already replaced the factory 165 degree high limit switch with a 190 (creating a dangerous situation which is not approved by the mfg.) and he also installed an air grill into the return duct in an attempt to keep the furnace from shutting off prematurely because of overheating! When both of these attempts failed, the contractor bailed from the project leaving this customer without a reliable heating system. About us: The furnace giving problems is a very low budget Brand, not one we would recommend or install. Also our company would not normally get involved with issues created by other contractors because they can very quickly turn into a sour situation, especially when the customer ends up paying for something that should have been covered during the initial installation. Because of the customer's situation of non-reliable heat, we offered to look at his situation. After extensive testing of duct pressure and temperatures, our suggestion was to add more return air to the furnace by adding more duct work and replacing the high limit switch with the original factory approved one. The customer understood the problem, was in agreement with us making the changes suggested and also how the work would be invoiced. The modifications were completed to the return air system and it allowed the furnace to run a longer cycle but it still shut down before completing its heating cycle. We feel one more return run from the bedroom would probably complete this job but since this job was being billed via time and labor, the customer felt he was not going to spend any more money, so the furnace continues to short cycle and will until it gets enough air moving through it. Naturally he is unhappy, but why he rates us with an overall "F" makes no sense. We didn't cause the problem, we were only trying to resolve it. But as I said earlier, these jobs normally turn sour, mostly because the customer ends up paying two times, for one job. Exactly where we are here!"
"Thank you for your generous review. At Gary & Sons, we work hard to achieve A ratings in all categories but especially in the Overall category! In regards to your review on price, we understand that purchasing a new furnace can be a financial shock, but we would hope that you could look at your new furnace as not just a purchase but as an investment in your home comfort. We understand the value of the dollar, and it is our duty as professionals to make sure your investment was one of great value and that it remains so for years to come! rt"
