I highly recommend Mitchell Masonry. Brent is very knowledgeable and does excellent work. Had new flashing installed as well as tuck pointing on my chimney. The concrete crown he installed on the chimney is a huge improvement over the original and looks great.

Moyer Concrete did an excellent job removing old cracked concrete, and collapsed outside stairway to the basement. They also installed a box drain to handle any runoff to prevent it divert it back out into the yard. I would definitely hire them again and I am in the process of doing so.

A few things can cause soil instability, including poor drainage, karst landscapes and resulting sinkholes, and poorly compacted soil during construction.

Home foundations are designed to last a lifetime when properly constructed and well-maintained. A poured concrete slab can last 200 years, while concrete blocks can last 80 to 100 years. A pier foundation can last about 75 years. Brick or stone walls can last 100 years or more.

You'll find a slurry of natural and synthetic polymers, rubbers, epoxies, and resins used to bond old concrete to new concrete. The right bonding agent depends on the method of concrete pouring you choose and whether you're adhering concrete over concrete or concrete over sand and gravel. Some concrete resurfacing mixtures contain bonding chemicals as well.

Efflorescence can damage a concrete slab for two to three years. After that, it resolves on its own once the surrounding salts are gone.
