First, there isn't another service company in any industry that I could rate higher than Zack/Chimney Doctor. From the first time I spoke to him I knew they were a different company -- the BEST company I've ever worked with. Zack even took my phone call and responded to texts in the evening. He also made it his #1 priority to take care of us the very next day. They were extremely nice, professional and a pleasure to work with. I would rate them an A+++++.

I worked with Cory and Zack. They were amazing. Zack even returned my phone calls and texted me in the evening. They showed up EXACTLY when they said they would. I contacted Chimney Doctor based on the recommendations on this site. They were by far the most reasonable from a price standpoint. I had been led to believe by another mason that my chimney basically needed to be torn down and re-built. When I had the guys from chimney doctor look at it, they explained that the damage was not so severe and could be repaired properly without having to take drastic measures. I really appreciated their honesty. They were very professional and provided me with a detailed quote via email that same day. The actual service took much less time than I had anticipated. They came early in the morning and were done in a few hours. They were very non-invasive and worked professionally without any need for my involvement (but still took the time to explain how things were going when I went outside). The quality of the work seems solid and the chimney is in much better condition now by far. I would feel confident recommending them to others based on my experience.

From the first call Randy and Zach were really helpful. They handled all of the insurance paper work. They showed up on time and left the work area cleaner then it was before they came. I would have them back anytime.

Randy arrived right on time and was very polite, friendly and professional from the start. I told him about my use of CSL logs and not having the system cleaned in 7 years so he looked up the chimney through the fireplace and said he could see and quot;shiny metaland quot; and said that it did not need cleaning! Then he went outside (refusing an umbrella!) to look at the cap because I had a cap fire where I used to live. That, too, was also found to be clean. I did not know the estimate was free and I have been waiting for a bill but today (10/26) I got a very nice and quot;Thank Youand quot; card in the mail thanking me for selecting The Chimney Doctor as my chimney sweep. Both my husband and I are retired police officers from Baltimore City and anytime we see true professionalism and honesty, we totatally appreciate it. The Chimney Doctor will be our chimney sweep and we will recommend them whenever we can. I did say he was here on 10/10 but I'm not sure if that's the actual date but it's close!

I asked if Chimney Dr could come and work on my chimney on 5/27 without realizing it was Memorial Day. To my surprise they showed up and worked the whole day. They did a wonderful job and even repaired a crack in my concrete porch free of charge. When they came to do the estimate they took pictures so that I could see everything that needed done without climbing on the roof and emailed me a formal estimate. After they finished they had pictures again so that I could see the difference, Really great service!

The person stated he was the owner and when we explained $1500 was alot of money for 5 hours worthof work, he adjusted it by $269.00.
We had not idea of the real price needed and did not wish to cheat him but his cost for materials, insurances, truck, insurance, would need to be figured in. When he said $100.00 per hour he only spent 2 people 1 day 2.5 hour for a total of 5 and the 2nd day each spent 2.5 hours again. This was a total of 10 hours.
We politely ask and he was willing to talk.

Went well. Chimney sweep arrived on time and was finished very quickly. Very professional. No complaints other than those listed above--these aren't deal breakers. We'd use their service again.

Had the Chimney Doctor come out to sweep my chimney which they did.
Everything went well, and it was very clean when they were done. They
told me about some repairs to the brick work that needed done and said
they would send me an estimate. I received the estimate in three days
With Pictures of my chimney! I looked at them and then took them outside
to compare to my chimney and it was a shock to see the chimney was as
bad as it was in the pictures! I called to see when they could do the
work and was told that the repairs were a maintenance issue and could be
done next week or in the spring and quot;it was up to meand quot; no pressure like most
home repair places. I scheduled the work for one week later the were on
time did a great job and even sent me new pictures of my fixed chimney...what a difference!

The only small problem I had was that they got a little lost on the way but called, appoligized and arrived just a little late. They were perfessional, quick and clean and all at a fair price. I give them 5 stars and have already suggested them to a neighbor.
