"Lewis and crew cleaned the driveway and parking area, edged the perimeter of the pavement. Even trimmed a couple of shrubs that were overhanging the pavement. Then sealed any cracks and seams, then did a beautiful coat of sealer over all. Lewis and his crew were respectful of our property and did a great looking job on our pavement."

"The driveway project involved both concrete and asphalt work. There were rain delays, but the finished project was worth the wait. The SKR workers do a great job and we will certainly use the company again."

"Hi! I own a property in the Dover area. I hired Asphalt Experts to patch and seal my back top driveway. John and his people showed up and did an excellent job. They were not in a rush to get done and get paid. They patched all the bad areas and filled in all the cracks. The next day, they sealed the whole driveway. I was quite impressed with the results and would recommend these people to anyone. They are the real deal and the price was right. Jim 8/1/24"

Driveway Sealcoating questions, answered by experts

To extend the lifespan of an asphalt surface, sealcoat it every 2-3 years, repair cracks promptly, and clean it regularly to remove debris.

Commercial lots should be sealed every 2-3 years to prevent cracks and weather damage.

Asphalt driveways last anywhere from 15 to 30 years, but if you don’t stay on top of repairs, you may find yourself spending extra to replace your driveway before its typical lifespan. Stay on top of repairing cracks and potholes by routinely inspecting your driveway once or twice a year. It’s a good idea to pressure wash your asphalt driveway at least once a year to keep it clean. Apply a sealer every one to five years, based on your climate.

A good asphalt maintenance schedule covers all the pitfalls that can happen to your asphalt. Just how often you should maintain your pavement will depend on the type of maintenance. Resealing your asphalt driveway should be done every three to five years. Cleaning is more of an annual task while repairing cracks and potholes comes in on an as-needed basis.

Since freeze-thaw cycles throughout the winter months can damage your driveway, it's best to winterize your driveway in the late fall before the first freeze hits. Doing so will help to protect your driveway from damage throughout the winter season. Plus, drier, warmer weather makes applying and curing sealant much easier.
