"After living in our house for 10 years, we had been looking to repair our leaking roof and cover the deteriorating wood paneling on the outside of our house. We started our search at the 2019 Pittsburgh Home and Garden show. We met with a few roofing companies and decided to go HomePro Remodelers. Roberto met with my wife and I and explained the process of replacing the roof. After signing with them, they got started quickly. The crew that replaced the roof were very professional and courteous. They did a good job with the roof and cleaned up the area before they left. The crew leader Marvin was very easy to talk too and answered any questions as they came up. This year we went through the process of meeting with different companies to get quotes to put vinyl siding on the house. After meeting with Roberto, we decided to go with HomePro Remodelers again since they did a good job on the roof. The day after signing up with them, they were already bringing over equipment. Once again it was Marvinâ s crew who did siding, and they did not disappoint. They were courteous and entertained any of our questions. They cleaned up the worksite and the house looks great. After 2 separate jobs with Roberto and Marvinâ s crew I would highly recommend HomePro Remodelers."

"It all started out well after purchase of the initial Angie's list deal.  We promptly agreed on a date and a gentlemen came to measure and start the paperwork. Install date was set for 11/5/15. On 11/4, I was called about setting an install date.  My response was I already had one for the next day. Long story short, the company did not bother to tell me they had cancelled my appointment, they just acted like I never had one.  It was as though one side of the business did not know what the other side was doing. Since I made arrangements to be home on the 5th, I was not happy.  We finally settled on the 12th and the installation went smoothly enough.  However after completion, I noticed the installers had broken a piece of moulding in front of the patio door.  I know they realized they cracked it because they used clear caulk as a fix. I called the company and they said they would replace.  As of 11/30, the moulding still has not been replaced even though I was told the installer was picking up molding on 11/17.
I will say the person who came to measure and the lady who did the follow-up calling were professional. However, I can't say the same for the install side. The contact person was nice enough but he did not contact me to say the install was cancelled and to me it's taking way too long to replace the molding the installers broke.  I view it as a lack of integrity to cover up breaking the piece and not bothering to say anything to me.  The patio door is beautiful and I had planned to purchase a front door from them but have changed my mind.

"I showed her examples of what I desired and I was so satisfied as she did exactly what I asked for. Even though Jennifer became sick during the process and was hospitalized, she down played her illness and was able to complete the job. My dining room window is a bay and she did a terrific job. It was all exactly what I wanted! The only minor complaint I have is it was hard to get her to reply to me after I met with her and gave her the order."

"Everything Mike said he would do, he did. The old caulking needed removed first, and that was a lot of prep work, especially on the second story windows. We went a little over the project estimate, but that was due to the amount of prep time it took. No mess was left after the work. Communication was excellent all the way. Highly recommend this handyman to anyone in need of having their windows caulked and exterior foundation painted."

got a hold of him.  He told me he had received my message and was
calling around to see if he could find anyone to do the work. 
Unfortunately no one he knew wanted the job.  He did however give us a
few different leads to follow.

"Les promptly arrived for our scheduled estimate and was attentive to listening to our ideas, thorough and efficient in taking measurements and making calculations, and mailed us a written quote within the next few days. We hadn't moved in yet and Les was very flexible and accommodating of our schedules, able to meet us both at our old residence in Squirrel Hill and our new home in Etna.
Although it was a bit counter-intuitive, we asked for work on the floors to be done first so that they would be finished before we began to move our furniture. Our schedule was rather tight and Jim aka Mr. Sandman and his staff worked quickly and diligently. Our house is an older one without central air and it was especially impressive to see how hard everyone was working despite the 80-90 degree summer weather. Jim came to examine our floors and was very thorough in explaining the characteristics of our floor and how he was able to ascertain that it was white oak. We settled on a matte, light honey-colored finish to highlight the quality of the wood. The team removed our radiator covers and moved the piano that our house inherited (no small feat!) and was also able to patch in floor boards to fill in a gap where there had once been a banister. In all, a large living room, a large dining room, stair treads, small landing, and larger second floor landing were refinished flawlessly.
In the meantime, the crown molding that we had custom made to match the original molding was finished and Les offered to pick it up for us so that it would save us a trip out. Les' two employees worked quickly and thoroughly in removing the old, non-matching molding and cutting and installing the new pieces. The new pieces were indistinguishable from the old once we painted them and the workers took great care to not harm the new floor.
We thought that we would have to sister in some new floor beams to strengthen the floor under the bathroom but Les' workman informed us that structurally, the floor was sound, and there was no need to perform any repair. We certainly appreciated his honesty! Because we were able to save money by not doing that project. we asked Les to do some plaster repairs for us--we had a ceiling in the attic that needed to be mudded because of moisture coming in from the roof,several holes that we had inherited from the previous owner, and several more that were made by our electrician. All of these were fixed in a careful and efficient manner. We were especially impressed with the repairs on the ceiling where swirls in the plaster had to be matched. After a layer of primer and paint, those repairs too, were seamless.
Overall, we were very impressed with Commonwealth's professionalism and commitment to doing good work at a fair price. Les checked in regularly to ensure that the work was going well and that we were satisfied. He was easy to reach and all of his employees were pleasant, competent gentlemen. The scope and type of work we needed shifted during the project and I was most impressed with how Les was able to adapt to our changing needs. Our needs and budget were modest and I'm sure there are more lucrative projects out there, but Les always made us feel like our projects and our satisfaction was a priority to him and Commonwealth. It was our first experience working with a contractor and doing any home renovations and this was certainly a good one. We'll be happy to call on Commonwealth in the future for our next big projects.

"Finally got the patio enclosure installed. They did a good job in doing this. The only problem I had was getting their scheduling people to call me back to let me know what is what. Their receptionist Julie was extremely helpful to me during the long delay and kept in touch with me but I could not get the same response from the scheduling person named Becky."

Since I needed only the awning he suggested checking elsewhere, which I appreciated."
