"I was very impressed with Seth and his crew! We had a horrible water situation in our basement (bought an older home and the first heavy rain revealed serious water issues! ugh!) and knew it needed a serious solution if we wanted to be able to use our basement for storage. Seth provided a free quote and even suggested additional solutions with pricing options. He communicated with me quickly by text and took the time to explain every step of the process. At the end of each work day, he would walk me through all the work that had been done that day (again, answering any of my questions). The guys worked hard for four days, in some pretty hot and humid conditions! Seth also pointed out some other problem areas in my basement as they did their work and made recommendations on how to resolve those issues (there was some wood rot on the stairway area and a leaking water bib; he even gave me the name of a contractor for replacing my rain gutters outside when I was ready). Seth installed a basement dry system along all four walls of the basement, two sump pumps in opposite corners, and a lateral across the middle of the basement. I chose Better Basements & Beyond because it is a local company (not some big box company just out to make a buck) but also because Seth actually does the work himself (again, no fancy representative doing a sales pitch who doesn't get his hands dirty). "Great! I had this work performed in March 2018. Summer 2018 has seen constant rain and flash flooding. Previously I would have had several feet of water in my basement from the saturating rain and storms that came through together (5+inches in 6 hours with 12 inches in 48hrs in already wet ground). Basement has been completely dry. I thought work would be more noticeable. The concrete over the drain is nicely done. No complaints about the work, better results than I expected (I expected it to be more noticeable)."

"They came a little unprepared. They had no battery with them to install the backup. They did go out and but one at a local retail store but I am not sure I got as good a quality battery as I might of if they had been prepared. The work area needed some polish after they left. I would not call it a mess but it did not have a finished appearance. I cleaned it up myself. All that said, they did do the job I needed not what gained them the most revenue."

"Thompson did a drain system for our entire basement, including two sump pumps, plus treated the area for mold. They also patched some areas on our basement walls, unrelated to the installation of the drain system. They covered our items in the basement with plastic to protect them from dust and laid plastic and paper to protect the flooring from the entrance to our home to the basement door._x000D_|_x000D_|The installation went very well. The finished product looks good and is ready for painting. We've had at least one good rain since the install and so far no leakage. The crew did a good job of cleaning up and removing debris, dust and the plastic. The project was finished on time."
