Gray Construction was established in February of 1988. The company was started with only a vision and a few hand tools. One of those tools was an old sledgehammer that was passed down by my great grandfather. He used that sledgehammer to drive railroad spikes into wooden sleepers during railroad construction. And in our humble beginnings we used that same sledgehammer to break up concrete. Today we use jack hammers with pneumatic concrete breakers on the machines. We have come a long way. Additional DBA - Stamped Concrete And Landscaping. Additional email - [email protected].

"Gray construction was top notch from beginning to end. The owner, Kent, was responsive and communicated well for all aspects. His crew was also great. They showed up early, worked very hard and completed the beautiful walkway in one day. They completed the project as if they were working on their own home. Can’t thank them enough for a job well done."

We provide concrete coatings, their options for grey or tan base coating with a variety of matching vinyl flakes or a grind and clear. The product used to coat your concrete is a polyaspartic which is an alternative to epoxy. The polyaspartic is stronger, more durable and UV stable which prevents yellowing. The business is young, but installers have years of experience installing concrete coatings for many homeowners and businesses.

"It went really well, they are very respectful. They came back the following day o clean up the mess. The price is not bad and it seems like there no things that they cannot do."

"Three years ago, Matt installed a concrete patio between my pool and my house. I made a point of expressing my concerns on settling because of the extensive amount of ground that had been moved. This spring one of the slabs has sunk about half an inch, another has cracked. I have emailed Matt twice asking what we could do to correct the issue since concrete should last more than 3 years. I have received no response. Very disappointed. I'm hoping he contracts me to try to work this out."

Perfection Construction LLC & Perfection Tree & Landscaping (formerly Jerome of all Trades) is a family owned and operated general contracting business serving York and Adams County. We pride ourselves in providing our customers with our 100% satisfaction guarantee on all workmanship. We offer prompt free project quotes. We are fully licensed and insured.

"We hired Perfection Construction to remove a sidewalk and brick flower planter and pour a 6' by 29' concrete walkway. Mr. Brown arrived promptly for our estimate appointment. We talked about our project and we had a written scope of work with cost figures included only hours after he left. While talking about our project, Mr. Brown impressed us with his depth of knowledge and suggestions for improving our job. P.C. showed up on time, professionally completed their work, did a great job, and left us happy. They cleaned up after the job, leaving our yard looking clean and tidy. We told Mr. Brown that we’ll contact his company for future work we might need."

Decorative Concrete questions, answered by experts

It’s important to protect your investment in your project by hiring a reputable contractor. First, make sure they’re insured and with a licensed company. Get referrals by asking friends and neighbors who were happy with their finished products.

While you may initially think it’s more affordable to use an independent contractor or friend of a friend, you might benefit in the long run from working with an experienced contractor who can take the job entirely off your hands. Hiring a concrete driveway contractor takes a bit of up-front research.

Yes, you can put hot pots on concrete countertops, but only if they’ve been properly sealed. While the concrete itself is heat-resistant, the sealant may not be, meaning heat may discolor the sealant, so use caution.

To remove solvent-based sealer, you can pressure wash the surface and wait for the concrete to dry. You may need a special remover product if you have a water-based concrete sealer. Another option is to etch and neutralize the concrete.

The average cost of concrete by cubic yard is about $130 , falling in a range of $110 to $150 . If you’re looking to pour concrete over a smaller area, you may be able to pay per cubic foot of concrete, which would make the overall cost less expensive. It’s also possible to pay for a truckload of concrete, if your project calls for it.

There’s no legal requirement that states that you need rebar in a concrete driveway, but since the slab will be supporting heavy vehicle loads, it’s always a good idea to pay a bit more for rebar reinforcement. Your driveway will be much more likely to crack if you don’t reinforce it with rebar. Driveways that need to support commercial vehicles or provide parking for multiple vehicles at once should always include rebar reinforcement. If you’re pouring concrete over asphalt or pouring concrete over an existing slab, you may not have enough depth for rebar, meaning an increased risk of cracking.
