Small jobs welcome

"Jesse drywalled a bathroom and utility area, repaired the ceiling and painted. When he was done it looked new again. Great work, on time and he stuck to his original bid. It was a much bigger job than I even thought once all the damaged drywall was removed."

"We are thrilled with the retaining walls built by Chris Swope, owner, JCM Landscaping. Major points; 1. Licensed and insured yet provided lowest bid with specs identical to higher bids provided by other bidders. 2. Came on the promised date and finished quickly as promised. 3. An unforseen drainage issue was resolved with minimal added expense. 4. Chris saved a rhodo which other bidders said would be sacrificed. 5. Chris provided valuable design input including wall curvature and material selection. Can't go wrong with JCM. They are already being awarded additional jobs in my neighborhood based on work done at my house."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Yes, zero-entry pools are also referred to as beach-entry pools because the gentle slope leading to the water mimics the natural slope of a sandy shore leading to a lake or ocean. You can bring in sand or pebbles to truly capture the beach-like feel of a zero-entry pool.

The regulations for pool fence heights vary by state, so be sure to research what the legal, minimum height is in your area before purchasing or installing a fence. Though every region is different, generally a pool fence must be at least 4 and ½ feet high. If you’re unsure whether you need a fence around your pool, and how high that fence should be, contact a local pool enclosure expert to help you successfully, and safely, move forward.

With a regular pool, the water is contained by visible walls that are higher than the water level. An infinity pool has one or more walls that are right at the waterline so they're not truly visible. For an invisible look, the lower wall is often made of glass or clear acrylic. The water laps over the lower edge and into a catch basin below where it gets pumped back into the pool.

You can make your pool accessible to people with disabilities or mobility issues by adding a sloped entrance to the pool and including handrails at all entry and exit points. A pool lift, though expensive, makes it especially easy for people with all levels of mobility to enter and exit a pool safely. Upgrading your whole home to be more accommodating? Here are several tips to make your home more accessible for those with disabilities or those aging in place.

Most of the time, though there may be some code variations on the local level, a water source like a pool requires a GFCI breaker. These breakers detect electrical leaks of 5 mA or more and trip the breaker. However, the size of the pool and motor type determine the exact GFCI needs. A GFCI outlet with a reset button may be enough for an aboveground pool with a small motor or pump. Consult a pool electrician to determine the appropriate installation and protection measures needed for your pool.
