"100% would recommend Mica from Plunkett’s to deal with your cockroach issues. We had roaches off and on for many months, despite a good cleaning regime etc., and eventually realized other units in our shared building had the same issues. Mica quickly and precisely diagnosed the source of the issue, was real with us about time and possible costs, worked with us in coordinating multiple units, patiently answered all questions, and in the end helped my neighbors and I deal with this extremely persistent issue in a relatively short time frame. He approached treatment with a lot of care and thought, in particular listening and adjusting for our concerns re: safety of our young toddler. This was a big one for us! Plunkett’s was a bit more expensive than some other pest control companies we looked at, but neighbors had already tried multiple other services and it never got rid of the issue. I called and talked to John, who gave me a competitive quote, and we set up an appointment two days later. Eric and Jerry showed up on time and in about an hour, they replaced the boots around the vent pipes, sealed them, sealed around the chimney, and also sealed a dozen or more nail pops in the roof that they found while inspecting it. They showed before and after pictures of all the work. They were extremely nice and professional. Although I hope to never have a roof leak again, I'll certainly call Roof Repair Experts again when I do!"

Roof rats are relatively small rodents that typically measure around six to eight inches in length (excluding their long, scaly tails that are often longer than their bodies). They have sleek black or brown fur, pointed snouts, and large ears. In general, they are typically smaller and darker in color than common brown rats.

You can get rid of raccoons quickly by making your home an undesirable place to live. Here are the best ways to get rid of raccoons fast:

  • Repair broken vents and screens leading to your home.

  • Seal open access points into your home. Many raccoons sneak in through the attic, roof, or chimney.

  • Trim trees and branches so raccoons don’t have easy access to your roof and chimney. 

  • Thoroughly clean out garbage cans, remove all trash, and secure the bins.

  • Don’t keep food or water outside.

  • Add raccoon guards to outdoor bird feeders. 

  • Clean up brush around your home—raccoons like to gather loose yard materials for bedding.

Voles are pretty prolific breeders, managing to squeeze in 5 to 10 litters a year, and each litter usually has around 3 to 5 little ones. These furry creatures are flexible with their love lives, as they can breed all year round, though spring and summer are their prime times. If they're living it up in warmer areas, voles don't take a break and keep reproducing non-stop.

First, you’ll start noticing fewer flying termites in the air. Second, you’ll see fewer ground-based termites near the entrances to their colony, and eventually none at all. Third, if you have access to part of the nest like mud tubes, you can scour away a section and watch it. If the tubes don’t get repaired, the nest is probably doomed. Again, it can take several weeks for termites to fully go away, depending on the type of treatment.

Seeing a termite swarm near your home is a strong indication that a colony is nearby, but it doesn’t always mean your home is infested. Swarmers may emerge from outdoor colonies or neighboring structures. However, if the swarm is inside your home or you notice discarded wings near windowsills, it likely means termites are nesting within your walls or foundation. A professional inspection is the best way to confirm and address a potential infestation ASAP.
