"Marvin did a great job painting our entire interior (walls and ceilings for 3BR ranch, excluding the laundry room and closets) at a reasonable price. The quality of his work was very good -- even though our house was brand new, the builder's paint job was mediocre. Marvin sanded and patched areas, including the drywalled garage, and dealt with the flat paint that was originally used. It sucked up the new paint like crazy, but now there is such a nice light sheen on smooth walls everywhere. He was professional at all times, worked quietly (a plus since we work from home) and cleaned up after every visit. Our job required a little more than a week's worth of work, so as an individual contractor on a few occasions Marvin had to reschedule or change his start time. If you have the flexibility, though, it was well worth any schedule adjustments."

"The team of Tom, Dan and Scott were very professional, courteous and friendly. They did a very good job in prepping the walls after removing the wallpaper which made for a smooth surface to paint. We love the end result."

"Shane is very professional and did a wonderful job.  The wallpaper border in the bedroom was put on over rough plaster so it was impossible to remove without damaging the plaster.  Shane removed all that was possible, then put a finish over the remainder to blend in with the existing plaster, then painted the walls.  The result looks great..  I am planning on having Shane back in the fall for additional work.

"Quality of work was excellent. Price was good. Father and son are very nice, and a pleasure to work with. On time. This is the second time I hired them. First time on 3/16/2016 they removed wallpaper from one room, and painted, and removed border, and painted another room.  Excellent work ,good price got back to me soon with estimate, showed up on time, cleaned up after work.

"Joe, and Dewan did an excellent job, they removed old wall paper in kitchen and painted all walls and trim. They also repainted our family room, removed old (3) layers of wallpaper, repaired walls and painted fireplace. It was very time consuming but they never stopped. My wife and I have already spoke to Joe about removing carpet and putting small bathroom in basement this fall. I have nothing but praise I would definitely hire them again highly recommend their services. Great Job."

"Rich assesses what needs done, explains exactly what he would recommend to get the best result and then prices the job. He shows up when he tells you the job will start, stays on the job until it is completed, cleans up so that you don't know he was there and the bill is exactly as he quotes for the work performed. His painters and him are polite and neat. I will definitely call him again for all my painting and dry wall needs . i am recommending him to anybody that needs work done."

"They did real good. They took a lot of pride in their work. They did stuff beyond what I thought they were going to do. They sealed everything. They did two coats of paint and I know they did it throughout every room and hallway. That was something I did not expect. They said they were going to do it and so, they did it."

"He came right over and took care of it.  He even repainted and patched at no extra charge.  He was thorough and detail-oriented, and tried to save me money when he could. I am getting ready to call him again to do some outdoor painting for me."

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can put wallpaper in a bathroom, but whether it's a good idea depends on several factors. Because bathrooms are high-humidity areas, it's crucial to choose a water-resistant wallpaper, such as one made of vinyl. Proper wall preparation is also critical to ensure the paper adheres well, even after many steamy showers. The wallpaper's placement also affects its longevity; it will hold up better on an accent wall or away from direct water contact, rather than immediately next to a shower. A well-ventilated bathroom will yield the best results.

Many types of wallpaper exist, from removable peel-and-stick options to more permanent options that involve pasting. You can also find wallpaper that you can paint over, wallpaper with a texture, and wallpaper made from various materials, such as vinyl. Some types of wallpaper are washable, which can be a great option for kitchens or if your household has small children.

If you need a stronger magnetic surface, or you need to use a different type of paint in the room (like waterproof paint in a damp basement), there are other accessible options. You could fit a steel panel over the wall, try magnetic wallpaper, or apply chalk paint instead.

If you want an inexpensive shortcut, hang a pinboard or chalkboard on your wall. These removable options are ideal if you’re a renter who can’t repaint or plan to move in the near future.

Wallpaper in bathrooms can last anywhere from one to 10 years, depending on what type was used, how well it was installed, and the measures in place to reduce moisture and humidity levels. Opting for a more durable variety and taking all the necessary protective measures will get you closer to that longer lifespan.

Spring and fall are the best seasons to apply wallpaper because excessively hot or cold temperatures can cause issues with the paste used to attach the paper to the wall. A professional wallpaper hanger can help you decide if your home is too hot, cold, humid, or dry for the wallpaper to stick properly.
