"We replaced the windows in our 1933 home through the services of MadCity Windows. From the initial contact with their sales representative to final installation, the company provided top notch professional work. With the draft from the old windows and the cold of the glass, we are already saving on our energy bills. Our house had old, large windows, so they had to be custom made. As an industrial designer and interior designer, we find our windows to be of excellent quality."

"Honestly I was happy with universal windows from beginning to end. Great customer service. But when installer came he was top notch. Perfect job. Hard worker took no shortcuts at all. He was so thorough. He went beyond. I have cancer he wore mask for me even when he didnâ  t have to. He moved all my furniture back. And let me tell you he removed a glass block that was horrible not one word or grunt!!!! It was just horrible. He cleaned up everything. Covered everything. I want to have some more windows done but only if he can be the installer!!! Mike Moran"

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

This happens when condensation forms due to your room temperature being lower than its dew point. You can clean the glass with a combination of baking soda, vinegar, and warm water to wipe away the fog from the doors.

You can add glass to your existing kitchen cabinet doors with a few tools and some patience. We recommend following the DIY steps listed above, which include cutting a panel for the glass, cutting and adding the glass, and reattaching your cabinetry. If these steps seem too complicated or you’d rather have the peace of mind of a professional installation, hire a cabinet installation pro to handle this project for you.

The methods outlined here are intended for surface scratches—ones that don’t cut into the glass very deeply. For deep scratches, you should consider a more comprehensive glass scratch repair kit. These kits come with abrasives, polishing compounds, and specialized tools designed for removing deep scratches from glass. If you feel uncomfortable tackling a deep scratch on your own, consider calling a local glass repair contractor.

The best tool for DIYers to use to cut glass is a glass cutter, which can either use a straight blade or a sharp cutting wheel to score glass. Once you score the lines you want to cut, elevate the scored line over a pivot point and apply light, even pressure to both sides. Make sure you wear protective gloves and glasses to stay safe during the process.

Typically within a few hours, depending on the number and size of windows.
