Customers say: Quality work

"I highly recommend this company! They were so kind and helpful! They made me feel extremely comfortable and educated me to prevent future problems with my toilet and plumbing. The price was very very reasonable for the work they did and I will only call them from here on out!"

"Other places costs 7-800 to do the job. They were $600. I've always found them to be the most reasonable priced plumber in the area. I didn't have to be there. He came out and looked at it on Thursday or Friday. He said I have to order these parts. He said I'll get back on Monday or Tuesday. I called them on Monday saying I wouldn't be home on Tuesday. I gave him my gate code and he came and took care of it. I didn't even know he was there. I thought the price was great."

"Dave and Hunter were a pleasure to work with. They did all of the plumbing for our remodel. Full kitchen, and 1 and a half baths. Dave was extremely helpful in helping us determine what type of shower heads and other options would be right for us. Work was completed 6 years ago and everything is still working perfectly. I would highly recommend Faucet Bros. To anyone needing plumbing services."

"We used All Systems Plumbing in 2008 when we remodeled our Kitchen and again this year, when we remodeled our master bathroom. The bathroom was a major remodel with all the plumbing being moved to different locations. The owner, Sean, is a wonderful, professional plumber and a very nice guy. The quality of his work is excellent. He's reliable, calls you back, shows up when he says he will and calls if he's running late. We are in the final phase of the remodel, we will be seeing Sean one more time to install the bathtub, toilet, sinks and all the plumbing fixtures. We will always use Sean for any plumbing problems we have and would recommend him highly to everyone.

Toilets questions, answered by experts

If you notice water coming out of the bottom of your tank or the flush handle, you obviously have a leaking tank. Water on the side of the tank can indicate cracks. Other signs include the toilet running and flushing without anyone touching the handle, needing to jiggle the handle to make the water stop after flushing, or needing to hold the handle down to empty the water tank.

A toilet flapper will remain open when the chain that it is connected to is too short. The chain should lift the flapper just enough to allow it to open the rest of the way on its own. The chain should have just about half an inch of slack.

Generally, toilet leaking is not an emergency unless the leakage is severe. However, any leakage at the bottom should be addressed as soon as possible because it could lead to water damage to the floors, under the tiles, or into the walls. Leaks at the bottom can also lead to mold growth if unaddressed.

It is safe to flush the toilet even if the pipes are frozen, and this may even help clear out the pipes. But if the supply line is frozen, the toilet won’t refill itself until it’s thawed out. You can still flush by pouring water into the tank to refill it.

The toilet flange anchors to the subfloor, usually with wood screws or cement screws, but most of it should sit above floor level at full height. When a flange is flush with the subfloor or below it, it can lead to the creation of leak paths.
