"Dustin C. @ DaBella Boise helped us choose the right windows for our application and personally monitored progress from order to completion. The finished product looks great, but the best part is instantly seeing and feeling the difference between modern tech vs. 40y old aluminum framed windows. No more drafts or condensation! Thanks DaBella!"
"Clean and efficient installation. Liked both the contractor, Fulltime Contractors, and their installation guys. Would recommend them for windows. And, would use them for other household projects"

"My windows have not been installed yet so I cannot review that part. Customer service was excellent from salesperson Crystal Cessna. She was professional and friendly and answered all our questions. I give her a 10 out of 10 rating."
"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."
"Install was easy. Up front cost was pretty low with Angie's List coupon. Monthly price is a little high compared to competing companies. Response time with alarms is excellent. I was advised to use glass break alarms within 10 ft of my first floor windows, which we installed correctly. I asked prior to installation if having one in the kitchen would cause false alarms due to dishes clanging, etc. I was told the glass break alarms are configured to a precise frequency that alarms with breaking glass. So, not a "no", but not really an answer. Well, every time we cook dinner, wash dishes or empty the dish washer, the kitchen glass break alarm gives a warning which would sound the alarm if it was set. This has caused us a number of false alarms while we've been away due to shifting bowls or plates in our drying rack. For the first several we've had to pay our police department $120 to check the house, and I was only notified after the first alarm that there was a cheaper option for a security company to drive by to check for a break in."
". From the day that James, the company rep came out I was so pleased! James is very professional, had good insight as to the heat that generates from the attic to my upstairs rooms and thoroughly explained the benefits of installing a solar roof vent. We have had several days of over 100 degrees and just as James promised, the upstairs is at least 10-15 degrees cooler with the attic vent. James was up on the roof to see what needed to be done and he also saw damage to the chimney and recommended new flashing. I was thinking this was going to be horribly expensive and almost fell over when I got the bid! Very Reasonable! The roofing crew was fantastic! Polite, competent, and they completely cleaned up that huge mess and I never found one thing they left behind. The installer that did the doors and windows was equally competent, polite and professional. Again, I was expecting to pay almost double that Pressure Point charged me to replace all the windows in my three story home. James and Matt the owner of Pressure Point have not forgotten me and I have received calls since the work was completed to make sure all is well. I am VERY pleased with the integrity, professionalism, and mostly the cost of this job. Unlike many contractors that are here today and gone tomorrow, I have complete confidence that my roof will outlast me but if there is any problems years down the road... Pressure Point will be around to take care of things. I highly recommend Pressure Point for all your housing needs."
The purpose of an awning window is to let fresh air into your home without taking up too much wall space. They’re ideal if you live somewhere that gets a lot of rain because their design helps prevent rain from coming into your home. In bathrooms, awning windows also help with ventilation but don’t compromise your privacy.
You should avoid using abrasive materials and harsh chemicals when cleaning windows. Abrasive tools like scrubbing pads, rough cloths, or steel wool can permanently scratch and damage the glass. Harsh chemical cleaners containing alcohol or ammonia can damage window treatments, frame materials, and special features like tinting. It is also best to use distilled or filtered water instead of hard water, which can leave spots or streaks. For best results, use a clean microfiber cloth to wash the glass and old black and white newspapers to dry it without leaving streaks.
Contrary to popular belief, wavy glass in older homes isn't caused by warping. The blowing technique used to create windows in homes dating back to the 1700s, 1800s, and early 1900s left behind small bubbles that create a wavy effect. If a glass window is functional, there's no need to consider wavy glass damaged. In fact, many homeowners prefer the old charm of wavy glass.
According to the U.S. Department of Energy, low-E windows can reduce energy loss by 30% to 50%. But the actual effect of low-E windows in your home will depend on many factors, like climate, number of windows, window treatments, and more. In terms of aesthetics, you may or may not notice a difference in how your windows look or how much natural light shines through. But overall, low-E windows look very similar to traditional windows.
If your double-glazed windows are letting in a lot of noise, it might be because of improper installation. You may need to apply an acoustic caulk around the window to close any gaps or hire a window installation expert to fix the windows. Double-glazed windows are typically more effective at reducing noise when they have thicker glass panels or have a gas filling, like argon or krypton, between the two glass panels.
