"Joe was our contact and did all the work. He was excellent. They promptly provided a Bid at a very fair price, followed through with quick service. Joe is very knowledgeable and helpful in getting you what you want and then doing an outstanding job. He even helped me put a sliding in and out while I was replacing its rollers. We highly recommend Deschutes Deck Care."

"Jon and his crew did a garage conversion for us and made a raised flooring to flow with the rest of the house and is rock solid. It was done so well and so fast. Communication with Jon was great. We went over details and if anything came up, he called us first for approval. We will for sure recommend him to anyone looking for frame work, remodel, etc. and use his services again in the future."

"John replaced our 2 porches and deck, and built a beautiful custom cedar pergola. Excellent worker, very easy to talk and work with, we can’t say enough good things about him. He gets in and works hard, rarely saw him take a break! Our old trex decks were a mess and he knew what to do and showed us other brands and we decided what we wanted. Then the pergola, it was a real work of art and the workmanship shines through! We can’t say enough good things about this experience. A few of our neighbors also hired him for jobs after seeing his work. Totally professional and so friendly. John showed us pictures of other pergolas he had built and from listening to us, he came up with a custom design which is beautiful and inspiring. Absolutely love our new porches and pergola!"

"Great to work with! This is our second home and we live in another town. They thoughtfully sent several photos each day to track their progress. They were very knowledgeable and personable. I highly recommend.!"

I have 5 years of carpentry and remodel experience. I genuinely enjoy the building side of things and I've taken custom pieces from design to finish, including shelving units, closet build outs, garage storage systems, and deck work. Beyond carpentry, I'm comfortable with a wide variety of home repairs, doors and window work, and general touch up. I bring a full tool set to every job, keep a clean space, and communicate well, especially on more complex jobs where understanding your wants and needs makes all the difference.

Balcony construction or replacement typically requires a building permit from your local permitting authority. Safety and building integrity are the main reasons for the need to obtain a permit and the subsequent inspections. In some cases, especially cantilevered balconies, your municipality may also require the oversight and signature of a structural engineer.

Enhances property value, ensures safety, and provides a sound basis for future construction.

Installing an ornamental or decorative porch column takes around three to five hours. Structural columns take longer because your pro has to install a jack to hold up the roof while switching the column out. If there's any structural damage, it can add several days to the timeline to repair the damage.

Yes, walls on the top floor can be load-bearing if stacked on the floor’s foundation.

The cost to install a bow window can range from $1,500 to $15,000, with a national average of $3,900. The total price includes materials, which can cost between $1,200 and over $14,000, and labor, which typically adds $300 to $1,900. Several factors influence the final cost, including the window's size and frame material. For example, vinyl frames are the most budget-friendly option, while wood frames are more expensive. Custom features or energy-efficient upgrades will also increase the price. For comparison, a bay window installation typically costs between $1,000 and $7,000.
