Graham Landscape and Design is an award-winning full service landscape company serving Lane County and the mid-Willamette Valley. We have 40+ full-time employees, excavation and earthworking equipment and offer services year-round. We carry business insurance, are licensed by the Oregon Landscape Contractor's Board, provide workman's compensation insurance for all of our employees, and carry numerous certifications and licenses. We have two employees that are ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Paver Institute) certified and our construction manager is NCMA (National Concrete Masonry Association) certified. We are a licensed low voltage contractor and we do not use subcontractors unless required by law. We offer financing options through Belgard and make flexible payment options available to our clients. At this time we use invoice billing, credit card payment, and take checks as form of payment.

"Went very well. They worked with me on setting the schedule, then finished when they said they would. Provided excellent plant materials, and did a great job on a challenging site—hilly and rocky old quarry! Shout out to Dean (irrigation), Dustin and Ryan. And thanks for pointing out that bear scat in the yard!!"

"Tanner did a great job communicating with me and making sure everything was agreed upon before starting the job. The work they did on my fence was above and beyond the comparisons I see around the area. The price was very fair along side the reviews I received, and the materials are better quality than the others as well. I would recommend Zent Construction to both friends and family."

Owned and mainly operated by Don Bassetti. Homers Excavation has been up and running for a year and a half, but Don has been working in the industry for years. Please visit our Facebook page for reviews and photos! Homer's Excavation main services include, but may not be limited to excavation, land clearing, grass and stump removal, road site prep for buildings, horse arenas, cattle and vineyard fencing, tree removal, private logging, grass and bush removal, and trenching.

"Hired them for a basic residential addition foundation job and they completely screwed up every step of the process. They don’t know how to read plans or pour straight out flat foundations. They don’t pay their subs which is coming back on us now. They won't respond to any communications. A lien has now been filed on the project because of their lack of payment. Shocked at their ineptitude. Very friendly people, but they should not be construction business owners."

Willamette Valley Handyman Service provides customers with home repair, remodeling, raingutter and roof work and landscaping.

"I hired WVHS to clean a large roof on a commercial building. They met me at the job to estimate the cost of the work and a date to do it. I needed them to do the job on a Sat or Sun to avoid conflicts with tenants and neighbors. This is a job I have done annually myself for over 20 years. I was impressed when Charles, the owner of WVHS, made suggestions of additional things they could do, like trimming tree branches away from the roof, to make the job easier next year. They arrived on the site Sat morning and finished in time for me to inspect their work Sat evening. The did a great job of cleaning the roof and removing the debris. If I don't do the job myself next year I'll definitely hire Charles and his crew to do it."

Animal Fencing questions, answered by experts

The cost to build a fence is about $3,100 on average, but you could pay anywhere from $400 to $13,700 or more. Your cost will depend on the length, height, and materials for the fence. If you hire a professional installer, labor costs typically represent about half of the total cost of the project. This means you potentially can save quite a bit of money doing the work yourself.

You should dig a trench that’s 6 to 8 inches deep so that when the silt fence stands up, it has at least 6 inches below ground. It’s important to firmly bury your silt fence into the trench you’ve dug to keep water from running underneath the fence into the pile of soil you’re containing.

Routine checks and cleaning, rust prevention, and tightening of loose hardware preserve the fence's appearance and function.

You should stain both sides of your fence to get the full benefits. Fences often fall along property lines, so you may want to save a buck by leaving your neighbor’s side in the dust. If you do that, all you get is a slightly better view. Moisture and UV rays can still sneak in through the side that’s unpainted or worn down and damage your fence. Rot and rust will spread, even if you can’t see it from your side of the lawn.

Regular lawn care keeps snakes away because it eliminates common hiding places. You can deter snakes by trimming grass, shrubs, and trees and removing weeds from your lawn and gardens. Clear away leaves and other debris that could serve as a potential snake habitat. You can also seal entry points around building perimeters and install metal snake fencing.
