Small jobs welcome

"Excellent work! I reached out on Sunday afternoon through Angie’s list to get a quote. The owner called me within five minutes and actually came out within 30 minutes and looked at the job and gave me an estimate before he left. I was completely surprised. Even more surprising given how difficult it is to get people to follow through. He showed up the next day with his crew. All the materials did an excellent job and was finished by noon and left the building site spotless. His quote was very competitive. He showed up as promised and entirely fashion and delivered an excellent in product. I will definitely be using this Contractor again going forward six out of five star stars!!!!"

"We love our cabinets! They look fantastic while remaining affordable. The friendly staff at AWD helped us from start to finish. They are very knowledgeable and gave us advice and tips when needed. They were receptive and patient with our ever-changing needs. Once we finalized our purchase, we received our cabinets within two weeks! The cabinets are very sturdy and the color is beautiful. The hinges and hardware are high quality. We are extremely pleased with AWD and would recommend them to any friends or family looking for good cabinets at a fair price."

"They did a real good job. They were real professional. We can now open the garage door from the inside of the house and now it is so smooth that we have to check to see if we hit the button to open it or close it.  Before we used to know when it was opening or closing because it used to make a noise. It helps when you move to a city where you are new. "

"I wholeheartedly endorse Aguilar & Davis Construction as a business of great integrity. I chose this construction company from the 4 bids that I received, to paint my house and remove all sub-par trim that was replaced with superior Hardy Trim. There was great attention to detail and skilled communication throughout the project. I could not have been more impressed and very happy with the final result. All agreements were met and all of the end-job details were attended to, through the final punch list. 5 stars from this homeowner!"

Closets questions, answered by experts

Custom furniture can provide more efficient storage and maximize resources.

Tiny house living requires creative solutions to the one biggest issue: space. Many people in tiny houses find life most manageable if they practice minimalism. Eliminating excess items and clutter makes the living space feel bigger, which can be a significant mood booster. It can also be challenging to get utilities arranged for a tiny house, and building and zoning codes can and often do present unique challenges to overcome.

Custom closet renovations offer a return on investment of 50% to 60%. This means that if you spend $2,000 on a closet remodel, you can expect to see your home's value increase by $1,000 to $1,200. Investing in a custom closet allows you to enhance your daily living experience while building equity.

A "reach-in pantry" is a smaller, cabinet-style pantry that allows you to grab items by simply reaching inside. On the other hand, a "walk-in pantry" is like a closet or small room that offers a larger space that you can physically enter to get your food. Walk-in pantries allow for more customizable shelving. A reach-in pantry is usually around 5 feet wide by 2 feet deep, while a walk-in pantry is closer to 5 feet by 5 feet or larger.

If you have a bathroom closet with movable shelves, you can place them at virtually any spacing that works for you. Useful measurements between shelves in the working, or middle, section can be 10 to 16 inches for towels or linens. Lower or higher shelving could be up to 24 inches between shelves to store lesser-used or bulky items or boxes.
