"The price was way too high—he spent more time away from my home to get parts than he did working (45 minutes—away 15-20 minutes replacing parts) I asked the gentleman if the email would provide an itemized statement—he stated it should. No itemized statement—emailed twice requesting and phoned the next day asking. The lady said we don’t do those we charge by the book! What is the book?? She stated service manager was at lunch but he or she would give me a call back been 4 days since service—still no paperwork or phone call. I then went to parts store and found out the most expensive parts would have been approximately $60; these were not for my cheaper faucet. I just wanted to see the itemized charges—simple request; do they not keep records??! Trevor, who came out on March 14th was very professional and gave me estimates before he did anything—I really appreciated this. Unlike Zachbe price just seemed high for what he did."

PVC is best for drain or waste lines, but it isn’t a great choice for water supply lines, which tend to be highly pressurized. PVC is also not suitable for hot water lines. Instead, you’ll commonly see PVC for a toilet drain line or for plumbing vents to prevent airlocks, which can prevent water from flowing out of faucets.

Both plumbing inspection cost and length can vary widely based on the specifics of a property. For a larger home, historic home, or rental complex, a full plumbing inspection can take a full day. Put aside at least eight hours from the start of the visit to ensure that you'll be available to answer any of the plumber's questions. However, a thorough inspection of the average one-story to two-story home lasts just two to three hours.

The amount of time it takes to repipe a bathroom depends on how much piping needs to be replaced and how accessible the pipes are. Smaller, easily accessible jobs may only take a few hours, but projects that require drywall removal or removing old pipes or large clogs can take several days.

It can be helpful to open one or two faucets before turning on the water main again. Turning off the main shut-off valve will introduce some air into your pipes. Having at least one faucet open should allow the air to clear as the water refills the pipes. Try to open faucets far from the main shut-off valve and on the highest floor of the house.

It’s safe to carry out minor repairs on small cracks and leaks on copper pipes by yourself. Since copper melts under heat, you can solder a copper pipe to repair what’s broken.
