"If you ever listen to a review, listen to this one and don’t make the mistake we did. Do not do business with Chinowth & Cohen Realtors. First of all, when we found a home that we wanted to lease, we called Cassidy for 3 months trying to lease this home. In 3 months she didn’t return one call. After not finding anything else that we liked we called her broker and finally got a call back. She’s terrible, but so is the entire company. Long story short we leased the house for 2 years. During the process there was dangerous black mold growing that we reported in writing 6 times. No response. We even contacted the owner to let him know the issue with this home. No response. My daughter was in the hospital 3 times for respiratory issues and they could not pinpoint the cause initially. After discovering the mold my doctor realized what was causing our family’s issues. The women in the office, Karen and Jennifer are the rudest women I have ever encountered. They take pride in talking to you like you are complete trash every single time you call them. There is no reason to lease from a company that doesn’t value your business. When I tell you they are inept from the top to the bottom, I am being completely honest. They do not care about you. Or anyone. We were charged rent when our home was declared unlivable by the contractors that showed up the week our lease was up. Do not do business with these crooks."

Real Estate Agents questions, answered by experts

Yes, it could be worth buying and remodeling an old house. You can potentially purchase an older house for a lower price than a newer house. With less of an upfront investment, you can devote more of your budget to the remodeling work. If you’re thinking of remodeling an old house and then reselling it—called house flipping—focus on projects that deliver the best ROI for home improvements.

Yes, a tile roof will increase the value of your home more than an asphalt shingle roof. Not only do tile roofs look nicer and add more to your curb appeal, but buyers will understand that roof tiles last longer than most other materials, so they can expect minimal maintenance and a long roof lifespan after closing, which often means they’ll be willing to pay more for a home with this roof option.

You should aim to have three or more bedrooms for the best resale value, and having four bedrooms is considered the gold standard. Having just two bedrooms is a functional obsolescence for larger family sizes, so a minimum of three bedrooms is ideal. Adding square footage from additional bedrooms will almost always be worthwhile, though, and can easily provide an ROI of 70%.

The short answer is yes. Room additions almost always increase a home's value. But just how much they increase it varies by the materials you choose, the type of room you build, and other factors. For instance, adding a sunroom will yield you a 49% return on your investment, while adding a primary suite results in a 63% return on your investment.

In many cases, window tinting will boost your home value. If you’re selling your home, especially in a warmer climate, buyers are very likely to see immense value in window tinting, which improves the home’s energy efficiency and helps make the living space more comfortable. Buyers may also recognize the privacy and security improvements offered by window tinting, which could lead to them paying more for your home.
