"This job is to fully replace furnace, air conditioning and ductwork plus adding additional cooling. Signed the contract on Tuesday morning and six hours later, my compressor gave up the ghost. Called J&J Burk representative, and they arranged a service call early the next day at my request. Confirmed the compressor had blown up and installed temporary AC units in two rooms to tide us over. In addition, the main project was scheduled for Monday, 30 March but the contractor offered to start the next day, Thursday 26 March. The work has moved along very smartly and I would give them a SIX on a scale of Five. The technicians are skillful, courteous and keep me informed at all times as to the progress. Looks like the estimated 5 work days will shrink to four, but not certain. Still, I am VERY impressed with this contractor and would recommend them any time. This is from a retired Civil Engineer who used to write contracts and specification for this sort of work at a nearby Air Force Base. This work is top-notch."

Since I can do most of my services remotely with you over the phone, I am hoping to eventually open up to larger markets and help people from having to take their computer in to get it fixed, if it has internet access, I can usually fix it over the Internet. I work on a flat rate service, and don't charge by the hour because I feel it's important to educate the customer on what the issue is/was, and how to avoid it in the future. I feel that local service companies (my competition) have been overcharging customers for years. I offer a first time customer discount of 10% but I will offer 15% off for first time customers referred by Angies List. I've lived in the Huntsville area most all my life, so I know the area very well. I will never use a subcontractor as I am very picky about making sure that if my name and company is associated with something, it will be the best experience my customer has ever had, and using sub contractors won't ensure that, so I prefer to do all the work myself. Lastly, I should point out that I am a former offensive lineman for the University of Southern Mississippi and was Brett Favre's center his freshman year at Southern. I went on to play for Tom Landry in his last year, but gave up pro football early on to pursue my passion of fixing computers. If I didn't have bills to pay, I would do this for free because I love it! "What I didn't like, I hadn't had any other problem in my house until I had an air conditioning problem.  While, they did take care of fixing most of the stuff with the air conditioning.  I did have to pay for the coolant that went into it, that was kind of aggravating, since you  know you are already going to pay a $60-$80 service charge for something and the you turn around and think you are covered and find out there are gaps of coverage.  We'll fix the part and pay for the labor but everything else is on you.  I think outside of price all the categories are an "A".  For price I'd give it a "C", because it's not like you are getting complete coverage.  I'd use them again if I needed to, I'd definitely consider it."
