"From start to finish Groundworks has been a great company to work with!! Jose and Jeremiah just finished up the Poly Renewal and Darlin, Tyler and Carlos did an excellent job installing the AquaStop Gutter system. All the employees were informed, professional and easy to talk with including Natasha the scheduler. I highly recommend this company."

"I had my water heater installed the very next morning, but that day came out and evaluated to ensure no damage to my house if waiting until next day. I would never use anyone else as this company is honest, fair and always tries to do the job in the least impact way to your budget. Wonderful company and people!!!!"

"Dakota initially met with us to discuss the project. He took that input and designed our amazing landscape. He came by with 3D computer design where we could get an idea of exactly what it would look like. Along with with pictures of all the plants and answered questions that we had. They were very quick to get us on the schedule for installation. I thought they would have to push back the date because of heavy spring rain, but Dakota and his brother came out of "retirement" and knocked it out in one day. Greenpro will definitely be doing any of our future landscape projects."

"I ended up having to go a different direction on my project; however, the recommendations and analysis of my situation were spot on. They quickly assessed the situation and made great recommendations for solutions. This was going to be a major project but their price was fair for the labor involved."

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Storm door panels are typically made from tempered or laminated glass, and each type has its benefits. Tempered glass goes through a special heating and cooling process, increasing its strength and durability. It’s known for its safety features—when it breaks, it shatters into small, relatively harmless pieces rather than sharp shards. Laminated glass is made by sandwiching a layer of plastic between two layers of glass. This interlayer holds the glass pieces together even when shattered, preventing them from scattering.

Yes, it is possible to have both a storm and security door. In fact, this is the best way to go for enhanced protection against intruders and the elements. The storm door will provide weather resistance and added energy efficiency, while the security door will offer maximum protection against break-ins.

It does matter which way a hinge is installed because it’s possible to install a hinge backward. The hinge pin should face the direction in which the door will swing, making the pin visible. Exterior doors that swing outward need a security hinge with an Allen set screw in the center to prevent someone from removing the hinge from the outside and accessing the home or business.

A storm door should be the same size as the front door. Both doors will fit into the same opening on the exterior of the home, so you can expect the storm door to be the same size as the front door. Most doors will be about 32 or 36 inches wide and 75 or 81 inches tall, although you can customize your door sizes.

Storm doors last about 25 years, although high-quality and well-maintained storm doors could last up to 50 years. The type of storm door can impact lifespan, so be sure to consider the durability of different frame materials and glass types before making a purchase. Also, keep in mind that while storm doors can typically mitigate the impact of strong winds and harsh weather, repeated exposure to storms can wear down the door and shorten its lifespan.
