"I took bids on painting my house in the fall of 2011. I needed to have brick mold applied to the entire circumference of the 1700 square foot house, as it was built without it, as well as all of the fascia, soffit and trim painted. As I needed to replace the roof, and thought I should be doing that first, I was waiting until the roof was replaced to actually contract for the painting. The roofing contractor flaked out, and I had to get a new one in the spring of 2012, after it was warm enough for the shingles to seal. Once I had the roofing contract nailed down, I called the painting contractor I had selected in my mind last fall, Carl Reese. I needed to get the roof done and new gutters up before May 10, 2012, in order to complete work under the insurance for a hail storm two years ago and get the depreciation on the gutter work. Mr. Reese came out to review the job again, and had to increase the price from $1,800 to $2,000 to cover increases in wood prices and paint prices, replacing the current brick mold on the garage door with vinyl (or PVC, I'm not certain which - but it is supposed to not rot!) brick mold with weatherstripping attached, and removing the gutters, which I had thought the roofer would remove.
When Mr. Reese learned that I had not yet had the roof replaced, he suggested that it would be better to paint before re-roofing, as he would have to do less work to ensure that no paint wound up on the new roof. I wanted to make sure that the roofer thought the same thing, so I called the roofer after Mr. Reese left, and he agreed with Mr. Reese (perhaps because his family has multiple generations of both roofers and painters in it!). I called Mr. Reese back that same night, and he agreed to start the next day, Thursday, April 19, 2012, probably putting another job off a little in order to get mine done in time to meet my deadline for the insurance reimbursement. He warned me it might set the roofer back by a week and a half. He power washed the house the next day, and he and his brother came out on Saturday, April 21 to work on the brick mold. I am working 12 hour days on a new job, and came home late on Monday, April 23 to find that he had masked off the brick on the sides and back of the house (but not the front, so the front didn't look strange). On Tuesday, April 24, he called me about 7:20 p.m. at work to tell me that the job was done, and ask that I come home to look the job over with him. I did so, and found a great job! He did a good job with the brick mold, working around some funky brick work at the top of the house all the way around the house, and some projecting brick work around the windows, and installing the no-rot brick mold with weatherstripping on the garage door. The paint job was excellent, also. The existing 1x2 just under the roof was rough cedar, per Mr. Reese, and didn't look as good as a smoother wood would have. However, he did as good a job as could be done given the type of wood he had to work with; you just have to be aware that the painter can't make rough wood, with lots of lines and holes, look as good as smooth wood. In any case, in my case, this wood has now been partly covered by the new drip edge, and will also be covered by gutters.
When I mentioned that I needed to have the front door and the door to the garage replaced in the future, Mr. Reese mentioned that he also replaces doors. I will get in touch with him when I get ready to replace the doors.
I would definitely use Mr. Reese again to paint anything that needed painting!"

"I can't say enough good things about my experience with DC Family Home Improvements and Deeb! From the moment I reached out, he was unbelievably responsive and was able to come out the very next day, which was a lifesaver for us. We made some rookie mistakes with our TV mounting, and Deeb swooped in like a superhero, fixing it with such expertise and care that it instantly put our minds at ease. Now, our TV looks absolutely perfect—it’s level, secure, and stylish. I genuinely couldn’t be happier with the results! What impressed me most was not just his fantastic skill but also his friendly demeanor. He alleviated all the stress we had and turned a fiasco into a success story. We’ll definitely be calling Deeb again for any future projects around the house. If you're on the lookout for a reliable handyman who truly knows his stuff, don't hesitate to reach out to DC Family Home Improvements. Trust me; you won’t regret it! 10/10 recommend!!! 🌟"

"They arrived on time as a pair. Removed smaller TVs from wall mounts and installed 2 larger HDTVs on same wall mounts, checked settings on HDTVs, checked remotes, and removed all trash.

"We responded to a special offer. When the installer came to measure, he provided an estimate of additional work requested. The installer returned at the agreed time and completed the installation in record time. Work was done well and installer was very professional. Someone from the company called and came the next day to check on the work and make sure we were satisfied which we were.

"Vendor arrived on time, diagnosed the problem and said I needed a new ceiling fan. He called Choice, We waited approximately 10 minutes for a call back and an approval to replace the ceiling fan. He went out the truck and brought in a new fan and mounted it. I did have the option of going out to buy a specific make and model vs their replacement one and then he would mount it if I desired. Great service, I am glad I switched to Choice when my last warranty came up for renewal."
