"The install was flawless. Secured the ducts very professionally and out of the way allowing other contractors to finish the addition with no issues. Air flows out of all 3 vents perfectly. Passed inspections with ease. Highly recommend these guys!"

"The technician tried to sell me a service/maintenance plan but did not push when I said no. We have two units so had purchased two offers through the list. They worked extremely quickly and were done faster than any clean & check I have ever had on a furnace. I wondered about their thoroughness but otherwise was satisfied."

"BEST CONTRACTOR I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH! I am a detailed oriented person with a background in construction and a DIY'er because I don't trust anyone to do it correct due to past experience with contractors. This was a semi-emergency project and we did not have time to do it ourselves and honestly it was a complex project. PROS: 1. Excellent workmanship. 2. Communication was excellent. 3. Always did what they said they were going to do. 4. Scheduling of work was seamless 5. Raam is very knowledgeable and has great ideas, but final decision is with the owner. 6. Price was very fair with detailed invoicing. 7. Raam and his employee's were professional and very polite, always insuring that our needs were being met. 8. Always ON TIME. 9. From project start to finish was far better than I expected. 10. An absolute pleasure to do business with! CONS: NONE Basic description of project: Existing shower developed a leak in the floor pan and walls had mold and ruined adjacent laminate floor in bedroom. DEMO: Entire bathroom, to include cabinets, fixtures, BIG mirror, shower, garden tub, tile floor, lights, fan...everything. INSTALL: Walk in tile shower where garden tub was located, to include a custom shower drain pan. Re-plumb from garden tub to shower using existing walls. Install new lights, fans, reposition toilet, convert old shower to linen closet, to include new dry wall and plug old shower fixtures. Install new cabinets with fixtures, repaint walls and ceiling, new light switches with new electrical covers on plugs and switches. Install new "barn door" to entrance to bathroom and install new vinyl flooring in bedroom and bathroom. The remodel looks better than we expected and as stated previously, we will have RDA do any remodel project we may have in the future. HIRE them... you wont regret it..."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

While you’ll pay more upfront for a brand-new HVAC unit, you can save money in the long run. Here’s how to save on your new HVAC system:

  • When purchasing a high-efficiency system, your energy bills will be lower in the future.

  • You may be eligible for special offers from your local energy company.

  • Depending on the system, you may be eligible for HVAC rebates and tax credits.

  • Choose to replace your air conditioning unit and furnace simultaneously to save on labor and installation costs.

If you go to turn it counterclockwise and it won’t turn anymore, it’s open. Like most other valves, you should be able to turn a radiator valve counterclockwise (to the left) to open it and clockwise (right) to close it. To close a radiator valve, turn it clockwise until you meet some resistance and can’t turn anymore, but do so carefully to avoid breaking the valve.

If you hear your radiator clanking even when it’s turned off, it’s typically because there’s trapped water or air in the system, causing a pressure buildup. When you hear significant clanking, popping, crackling, or banging in a radiator that’s turned off, you’ll want to bleed the pipes or call in an HVAC specialist to deal with the problem (and prevent it from happening in the future).

You can save money on heating oil through a combination of improving home efficiency and smart purchasing strategies.

Home Efficiency and Usage:

  • Improve Insulation: Ensure your home, especially the basement and attic, is well-insulated and sealed against drafts to prevent heat leakage.

  • Manage Your Thermostat: Use a properly calibrated and programmable thermostat. Lower the temperature by a few degrees, particularly when you are away from home or asleep.

Purchasing Strategies:

  • Buy in the Off-Season: Order heating oil during the summer months when prices are generally at their lowest. This strategy is most effective if you have a large primary tank or a separate storage tank to accommodate bulk deliveries.

  • Consider a Delivery Contract: Some companies offer contracts with a set price for the term. This can lead to savings if market prices for oil increase, but you might pay more if prices drop.

A furnace is a big unit where gas, heating oil, or electricity heats the air. The warmed air is then pushed back out through ducts and vents.

A boiler uses electricity, heating oil, or gas to heat water that is pushed into the room through a radiator. This is one of the oldest and most effective ways to heat a house, but radiators can also be unsightly and leave hot and cold spots in the room.

Heat pumps use a refrigerant to move heat from outside into the house and return it to the room through ducts and vents.
