"Bathroom remodel: the backsplash was put on with the front facing side against the wall. I had to reorder more and tell them how to do it. Tile installed on floor and shower. Told me to order the wrong amount. I had to reorder more which came from a different batch and didn’t match exactly. Approximately 4 years after remodel the grout started failing. I now have many places with no grout and it’s getting worse. I can’t even find anyone who is willing to fix the mess they created. I highly recommend anyone to find another contractor for any work needed. Terrible work"

The signs of rot depend on the type. Dry rot looks like cube-shaped cracks with a fluffy white, cotton-like texture. Wood with dry rot may also have a strong, musty smell.

How long it takes wood to rot can range from as little as a few weeks in poor conditions to as long as 40 years if properly maintained. Algae retain moisture, which favors fungal growth, potentially leading to wood rot over time. In some cases, significant algae growth can lead to the weakening of wood fibers, ultimately causing rot. Try to keep things as dry as possible. 

Outside of regular maintenance, most gutter repairs are best left to the pros. Most gutter projects require basic ladder safety and (sometimes) getting on top of your roof.
