"We contracted with Precise to do both our exterior paint, and a couple of interior rooms including some wall & ceiling repair. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. Absolutely superb color matching. The actual painting process was reasonable; the crew was attentive to our needs even while one of us was working from home. There was some dirt & dust & paint, but a lot less than we expected, and the crew did a good job cleaning up after themselves. Jonathan told us beforehand that a deep clean after the job was over would be beneficial, and we have one scheduled that should take care of it. Even during the post job walkthru, Jonathan was finding minor issues we never saw, and was getting them fixed."

"Ryan and his crew did a beautiful job in my home. They painted walls and cabinets in 2 bathrooms, bedroom walls and trim, hallway and entryway walls and trim. We had 1980s brown trim and it is now white with no trace of the dark and dated brown. They left my house clean and showed respect at all times. The completed job looks gorgeous. I'm completely happy with the work they did, including sheet rock replacement in a small area and some wood trim that had to be replaced. I will keep Okie Boyz on speed dial for any painting projects I have in the future."

"Painted outside of house, deck and handrails. Overall finish looks really nice. My biggest gripe was they did not cover my bushes and got white paint overspray on them. Also had some overspray on my roof shingles, but they are working to remedy that"

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Painted decks typically require a new coat about once every ten years. In between new coats, it's best to maintain your deck by regularly removing debris, washing it down with non-abrasive cleaners, and staying ahead of structural issues, such as loose boards and rotting wood. In some cases, painting a small section of your deck affected by damage or the sun can lower your costs and workload.

The best way to protect a deck is to prevent damage from UV light, water, mold, mildew, insects, and abrasive cleaning methods. Sweep regularly to prevent debris that hides bugs and traps moisture that can result in mold or mildew growth. Use a deck cleaner once a year to remove algae, mold, and mildew. Avoid using pressure washers on high, as they can damage the wood. Applying a deck sealant can protect the wood from UV and water damage, and adding shade can also reduce sunlight damage.

A concrete overlay is often the most cost-effective way to resurface a pool deck. To do this, you’ll need to pour a thin layer of concrete over the existing pool deck, which you can customize by stamping or painting. A stamped concrete overlay provides additional traction on a pool deck that can help minimize the risk of people slipping and falling.

Your tool of choice ultimately comes down to personal preference. Many DIYers prefer applying stain with a lint-free rag, but others stick with a paint brush or a roller. Wipe the stain and work it into the wood, working with and against the grain. If you’re applying multiple coats, allow the stain to dry for around four hours between coats.

A wood deck requires annual cleaning and regular inspections for loose or broken boards, nails, and screws. It should be refinished by applying a stain or sealer every two to three years to protect the wood from water damage, rot, mildew, and sun fading. The exact frequency can depend on the climate and the deck's exposure to sun and moisture. If your deck is painted, it will need repainting approximately every 10 years. Signs that your deck needs refinishing include faded, splintering, or warping boards.
