"I live in an apartment and my property management company contracted with Superior for pest control. I and several other residents have been dealing with a cockroach infestation for several months now. During the last treatment visit, the technician was rude and unprofessional in his conduct towards me. When I said that not all the roaches were being killed (this was after two months of treatment), he lashed out and told me, "I'm trying to educate you and you're not listening." He also said that I should not expect all the roaches to be killed because he was just trying to keep them under control, not get rid of all of them. He said, "That's why it's called pest control." I expect exterminators to resolve a pest issue completely, not just make the situation a little better. If this had happened in a home that I owned, I would have kicked this man out immediately and found a different company."

Prime mosquito season varies depending on your location. It’s longer in the sweltering southern states and shorter in the cooler, drier northern regions. In places like Florida, it can run from February to November, but in the Pacific Northwest, mosquitoes appear in April and can hang around until the end of October. While the hottest summer months are when they are at peak population, mosquito seasons are extending in many regions because of the increase in annual temperatures.

Rats are always on the search for places where they can find security, food, and water. Homes may offer these features, but they are often difficult to enter. Rats may also enter a home’s sewer system where they are attracted to food scraps, water, human waste, and the safety of an area free from cats, dogs, owls, or other predators.

It is true that mice are most active at night to avoid being caught nabbing a spoonful of peanut butter. During the day, rodents prefer cool and dark places. Look for them hiding between walls, inside of pantries and cupboards, behind sofas, in old boxes, and in any other appealing hiding spot. They love clutter, particularly if it has not been disturbed in a while.

Most bed bug infestations require two to four treatments within a three- to six-week span to eliminate.
