"Mike is a great handyman that I use for almost anything that comes up at my rental property in Lawton, OK. Anytime my tenant notifies me of a necessary repair, I check with Mike first to see if he is available and he usually is able to assist very quickly with whatever needs fixing. He has fixed leaky roof (and repaired the damage that resulted to the interior ceiling from the leak). He has fixed fraying carpet and painted trim on the house as well as variety of other repairs."

"It went okay. I was not all that impressed with him. I wanted him to come out and do some stuff on some baseboards in the house but he was not able to do that. He ended up working on some other things but I forgot what they were. I will never use them again. He said he would give me a quote on a backdoor but he never followed up."

Like many common door problems, warping can be caused by improper installation. When a door isn't installed correctly, there's a good chance that the poor seal is allowing moisture and drafts to seep through. When this happens, humidity will build up in the wood until it swells and warps.

You can convert a pre-hung door into a Dutch door, but it’s more of a pain. Pre-hung doors are already set in the frame with the hinges and everything aligned, so once you cut the slab in half, you’ll likely need to adjust the hinge placement and maybe even mess with the frame itself. To achieve the correct opening size for a 30-inch door, add 2 inches to the door width and 2 ½ inches to the door height. For example, if you have a 30-inch-wide door with an 80-inch height, then the rough opening would measure 32 inches wide by 82 1/2 inches high

Solid wood is a durable and attractive option for cabinet doors that holds up well against a small amount of moisture. However, solid wood doors will expand and contract, meaning upkeep will be necessary if painted. Particleboard with veneer cabinet doors are cost-effective and can be attractive. MDF cabinet doors offer excellent and predictable workability features. However, both of those options are vulnerable to damage if water finds its way through the veneer or paint finish.
