Small jobs welcome

With a background in pipe fitting and experience using a wide range of hand and power tools, I understand how to handle heavy, bulky, and delicate items safely. For over 9 years, I've provided small freight, catering, and transportation services with a focus on reliability and customer care. Through SwiftHaul Xpress, I bring that same work ethic to every delivery, offering dependable moving help, furniture delivery, and household item transport with professional service and attention to detail. My background for the past 10 yrs. Plus has been in heavy equipment assembly and commercial plumbing. I consider myself mechanically, inclined and experience with most hand, tools and power tools.

I’m a father here in Tulsa. Usually working in film, but my dad is also getting older. So, I wanted to start thes home improvement services in Tulsa so my dad would stick around and feel comfortable with money in his pocket. Also to just give my dad things to do up here in the big city. Right now he will drive 2 hours back to his hometown to work maybe 2-3 days out of each week. He doesn’t get around like he used to. Just want him safe and happy .

Moving questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can use a dolly to move a treadmill, though you won't always need one. If your treadmill has wheels and you’re moving it to a different location on the same floor, you can likely skip the dolly. But if you’re moving it up a flight of stairs or to a new home, a dolly can help you move it more easily.

Apartments come with strict regulations about what pets are allowed, so check before you sign a lease. If you have a fish or reptile, wait to move them until everything is set up and you’re ready to do a special move just for them and their aquarium/terrarium.

For a dog or cat, be sure you have a carrier before the move. On moving day, it’s best to designate a “safe room” or even a crate for your pet to help them get used to the new space. Keep everything they need in the safe room, and let them explore the rest of the apartment in their own time.

Focus on decluttering when downsizing to move cross-country. Selling, donating, or recycling unwanted items early in your moving process is key to your success. If you are on the fence about some items, consider storage options, or you can ship these items separately to lessen your load.

It’s typically not advisable to move heavy furniture by yourself. However, if you are confident that you can do it safely, there are several different tools you can use, including a hand truck, a four-wheel dolly, or an appliance dolly. If you’re moving furniture upstairs or downstairs, a hand truck is the most suitable choice. Regardless of what you choose to use, always ensure that the furniture is well-balanced and secure by using lifting straps or tie-down straps to keep it in place.

When you submit your payment depends on the company’s policy and if you use the container for storage before and after the move. Some companies require a deposit, and others collect the fees on the day the container arrives at your home.
